Stars: Rachel Shelley, Wayne Brady, Heida Reed, Annie Cusselle, Rebecca-Clare Evans | Written by Stephen Herman | Directed by Natalie Kennedy
Combining two popular themes, an author struggling with writer’s block and AI run amuck, Blank is the story of Claire Rivers who can’t seem to put words on paper even as the bills pile up and the calls from her agent become more frantic. Finally, facing a one month deadline to either produce a book or lose her publishing deal she decides to spend that time at The Retreat, a high tech facility for the creatively blocked.
Her room comes complete with a holographic concierge named Henry and Rita an android assistant. There’s also a weird little device for Claire to attach to her head in order to stimulate her creativity. It doesn’t seem to help though as we mostly see her drinking wine and falling asleep in front of the TV.

After Dark Films, the independent motion picture studio formed in 2006, have announced the first three of the After Dark Originals 2 films, which feature a wide range of actors and directors including: Drew Daywalt (who I interviewed a while back), Billy Zane, William Devane and Stephen Rae. Check out the details and artwork below:
Dark Circles
Starring Johnathon Schaech, and Pell James, and written and directed by Paul Soter. When new parents Alex and Penny retreat from the city and move into a place outside town, the stress and massive sleep-deprivation caused by their infant has both of them seeing things in the house that may or may not exist. As their fragile grasp on reality spirals into delirium, Alex and Penny find themselves nearly helpless to deal with the horrific truth of what is really going on in this house.<

Syfy has a new Original Movie heading our way on Saturday, July 14th, entitled True Bloodthirst; and we have a look at the trailer for the flick, in which humans and vampires must band together against a new hybrid type of super vampire.
True Bloodthirst is directed by Todor Chapkanov, written by Rafael Jordan, and stars Andrew Lee Potts ("Primeval"), Claudia Bassols ("Rob"), Neil Jackson ("Make It or Break It"), and Ben Lambert (Vampyre Nation").
Synopsis:
Bucharest, Romania. The not-too-distant future, but an entirely different city. The human population is dwindling. The vampire population, meanwhile, is exploding. Having emerged from the shadows a decade earlier, vampires now walk openly amongst the human population, as a precarious peace exists between the two. A peace made possible by the introduction of a synthetic blood substitute, dispensed by the Romanian government, making traditional vampire feeding, and preying on humans, no longer necessary. But even so,...

It’s hard not to watch this trailer for Vampyre Nation and not get the sense that the makers of the movie watched Daybreakers and wished the film had more to do with characters hunting down those mutant vampire man-bats. And I would agree with them 100% on that point.
Vampyre Nation may not be an Asylum mockbuster of Daybreakers but it sure does sound like it could be.

This is an early look at an upcoming post-apocalyptic vampire thriller titled Vampyre Nation. This film is from the man who made Weather Wars and Monster Wolf, Todor Chapkanov. Vampyre Nation stars Andrew Lee Potts ("Primeval"), Neil Jackson (Push) and Ben Lambert. In the future, vampires and humans live in a cold war atmosphere, where a synthetic blood substitute keeps the bloodsuckers at bay, temporarily. This truce will last for only so long.
Chapkanov's previous films Weather Wars and Monster Wolf were both shown on the SyFy Network and this title will also likely show on this channel, in 2012. This director also completed work on Miami Magma, which was shown on television. Have a look at all the details for this production below, courtesy of UFO International.
