King Baby promises to be your “newest queer obsession” and here’s your chance to hear the filmmaking duo behind it, Kit & Arran, talk about it in person.
Hot on the heels of Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things, King Baby, from filmmakers Kit & Arran, is here to dismantle the patriarchy for good. It’s about time for that, don’t you think?
The film follows two men who depart our traditional society to live in isolation and do whatever the heck they wish. They form a strange power dynamic, only referring to each other as King and Servant.
But when King wishes for a wife and Servant makes one out of a mannequin, it throws the power dynamic into a fascinating flux. The film’s website promises “isolation, madness, and murderous megalomania that puts two very very different types of masculinity under scrutiny.”
