Excellent

Warning: Spoilers
I lived the Beaconsfield mine collapse in 2006 through the media, along with the rest of Australia and probably the world. Hanging on every word and video image I could, in the hope they would be rescued alive. Beaconsfield (2012)brought home the fear and frustration the men felt as they were trapped alive. Dealing with situations I hadn't even considered back in 2006 while watching from afar. The producers and writers have retold the unknown story, from the miners perspective, as we all know the perspective the general public had through constant media attention. The producers and writers also dealt with the families grief and anguish in a very sensitive manner. Great viewing, well worth watching!

Great film about the true story of 3 miners who got trapped.

This wasn't "based on a true story". This was the story. With cleverly done splicing of media from the accident. The actors did a great job, with the exception some of the side characters who felt a little flat. As a viewer you get a small taste of how terrifying it must have been down there, you feel a sense of the pressure the rescuers were under. Not to mention the miners families.

If I had one critique; I wish the film makers had gone into more detail about the challenges of the rescue. It's obvious that they had some great minds making decisions and coming up with solutions, but days seem to pass when nothing was happening. A POV from one of the experts would have been good.

It's well worth a watch, touching and nerve wracking at times.

This movie is a must watch for all who remember the Beaconsfield mine distaster back in 2006. It shocked the nation, touched our hearts and made us cry. The loss those poor men felt and the horrific situation that the two survivors and their family's were put through still make me flinch at the thought. This movie caught this pain, sadness and happieness in the end extremely well. The actors played the parts fantastically and the directIng was superb!

I give this movie a 10 out of 10. One of the best re-tellings of all time.

Good job.

Respect to those who died, worked, lived and rescued and their family's.
