So here we go. Last season. Final match. Ellen has volunteered to be Michael's only witness in the custody battle over his son. At the same time a guy who is based on Julian Assange is leaking information all over the place. A statement he supposedly made has brought down a huge investment firm and a rather neurotic woman has been blamed. He calls Patty to be his lawyer because he realizes that a good part of the leaked information is not his. Patty won't take his case but recommends her sworn enemy, Ellen, to be the lawyer. Since the woman in question refuses to hire Patty, there is nothing to be done. However, when the woman is found dead of an apparent suicide, things change. In a final scene, Patty tells Ellen to take the case and get on with trying to destroy her. Is it bait? The series is using its usual tricks, giving us supposed glimpses of the future. And, yes, there's another violent scene where the character wakes up. They've only done this about sixty times.
