Not Bad, But Insufficient

This movie is described as being about two feuding brothers. But it's really just the younger brother being a selfish, ornery jerk. And he never apologizes for his abhorrent behavior. Besides that, this movie is excellent.

I did not like Tom

Warning: Spoilers
The younger brother, Tom, was the biggest selfish, and angriest man I have ever seen. His behavior was disgusting and what made it worse was that his parents never corrected it. They never talked to him, they always said something to his brother. It was good to see Brian McNamara on screen playing a different type of role. He was great at it too. No one can play an evil person like Daphne Zaniga. She was a little over the top in this role, especially, when she cut the cord to the singer's system at the concert. Ridiculous. My heart was full of compassion for the woman who had to deal with her alcoholic mother. I felt her frustration.

Amateur masquerade party

Warning: Spoilers
Knowing how hard it is to make a film, I really don't like to give low ratings, but in the case of this film, I must.

The look of the film right off the bat seems "lite" -- I didn't get the sense of fine cinematography. That was the first clue that something was off. The second clue was the lead male actor. He has a good face, and it's not his fault that he had to say lines of weak dialogue. That said, he was not engaging or interesting, nor were any of the other actors that were introduced in the first 15 minutes.

We couldn't make it past the first 15 minutes, because it seemed the main drama was that someone was stealing the main actor's lunch at his office place. And the person stealing it was his boss. Now, why would his boss steal his lunch? It made no sense. To "catch" the person who was stealing his lunch, the actor prepare a sandwich doused in wasabi and pepper and hot sauce. Okay, so what? That was not what the film was supposed to be about, was it?

This film seems to be set in modern times (2012), and yet, when the main actor's mother called him repeatedly (with a "family emergency"), he never bothered to answer her calls, "forcing" his mother to randomly call some other person in his office in order to "get the message" to him. What about email? Did that ever cross anyone's mind? Everyone was walking around with cell phones, so it wasn't like they didn't have email as well.

The film meandered for 15 minutes, covering such riveting topics as stealing lunches, "futures," promotions, and going back home and making sure that someone would be able to cover the work. We were bored stiff and couldn't watch one more frame. Meaningless, meandering and failed to build any steam. We gave it 15 minutes, and that was 14 minutes too many.

With enemies like your own family, who needs them ... daphne zuniga plays the nasty, greedy interloper trying to relieve the reed family of their property'and she almost succeeds ... brad johnson has the personality of a dead tomato plant and he should have done something about his wild hairdo

James LA girlfriend is a high-maintenance load and the realtor is easy to loathe. Overall, my wife and I were quite entertained.

Very good

This is a truly beautiful movie with excellent performances given by Lauren, Faye, Ian and Tom who portray the four main characters. It touches on life's issues facing a person with a death dealing disease. Lauren's character brings healing to those she meets, an angel in disguise. This film has my Highest Recommendation .
