Hopefully, this show may finally answer the question facing newly divorced people. Can they finally attain happiness once the divorce decree has been made?
Fran Drescher is Fran Drescher. She sounds like her old self from "The Nanny" and uses her favorite term "sweetie" less than 5 minutes into the show.
The show definitely has promise. With economic conditions the way they are, it is plausible that a newly divorced couple would continue living under one roof.
Interesting to see Rita Moreno in the role as Fran's mom. I don't think she can ever be what Renee Taylor, as Sylvia, was to Fran in "The Nanny," but she seems to have adequately developed some sort of Jewish inflection. Of course, she and the rest of the cast are essentially given one liners here and I don't know if that will be enough to carry the show.
