Sex & Nudity

- A few kisses, non-explicit mention of an affair. No sex or nudity though, it's pretty clean in that regard.
Violence & Gore

- A male teacher curses at his students and even hits a young girl on the head repeatedly.
- A large group of political protesters get in a struggle with the police. There is scuffling and wrestling, but no major violence. In the midst of the scene, a group of middle school girls get into a fight with hair pulling, punching, slapping, etc. It's mostly comical, however.
- A young girl (who is clearly stoned out of her mind) slashes open another girl's face with a broken beer bottle.
- Some bullying and schoolyard fights.
- A group of girls gang up on another girl. Before they can do anything however, another girl approaches, flicks a lighted cigarette into one of the girl's faces, knocks her down, and threatens to burn her face with a coal-hot stick.
Profanity

- A substantial amount of profanity. The Korean equivalents of "bitch," "f*ck," "shit," "bastard," etc are used quite often. One of the characters is actually known for her harsh vocabulary, and nearly everything she says has a curse word in it.
- Another character's grandmother also curses frequently.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Two middle school girls dress as older women and go out drinking. They get drunk and very emotional. The scene is very comical.
- Middle school girls, as well as older people, smoke cigarettes.
- It's implied that one girl was into sniffing glue. Later on in the film, it is heavily implied that she was sniffing glue again. We never see her do it, but we see her behavior afterwards. She is barely coherent, violent, and pretty much a complete mess.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- After one of the girls is implied to sniff glue, she acts extremely erratic, violent, and completely out of her mind. It's a frightening scene, even for older viewers.
- One of the characters has cancer, and there are a few sad scenes pertaining to it.
- The film has an overall nostalgic, bittersweet air to it. It can be intense to a few people.
