Fans of Insomniacs After School will have gotten a secondhand glimpse of Nanao, the city in Ishikawa Prefecture where Makoto Ojiro's series takes place. And anyone who's seen the live-action film will have witnessed the city's annual Seihakusai Festival, during which volunteers and attendees can help pull impressive floats called dekayama. The festival is usually held May 1-5; however, due to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake earlier this year, the traditional event has been postponed. In its place, fans are invited to a support event centered around Insomniacs After School , as part of an effort to raise funds for disaster relief. Exhibitions of artwork from the manga, stills from the anime, and props from the film will all be on display. Ojiro has drawn postcards for the event, which will be handed out to visitors.
