- Annie Walker: [as he comes up behind her as she is about to exit the plane] Whoa. I said sit tight.
- Carlo Reni: That's not something I'm good at, sit tight.
- Annie Walker: Fine. Stay close.
- [steps down, checking cell reception]
- Carlo Reni: [Italian accent] So, how does a woman like you end up in a... dirty trade like this?
- [Annie's phone beeps, and she smiles]
- Carlo Reni: Is it... God? Country? Apple cake?
- Annie Walker: Pie.
- Carlo Reni: Excuse me?
- Annie Walker: God, country, apple pie.
- [phoning, awaiting answer]
- Carlo Reni: Cake is better. Or, panna cotta.
- [exclamation of longing]
- Carlo Reni: God, country and panna cotta.
- Carlo Reni: Let me drive. I know the way.
- [she looks at him in a huff]
- Carlo Reni: In Italy, a woman never drives. The man drives.
- Annie Walker: We're not in Italy.
- Carlo Reni: Fine. Get us lost.
- Annie Walker: [smiles confidently] We're not lost.
- Carlo Reni: It's only a matter of time.
- [earning himself another huffy look]
- Carlo Reni: Oh, no, I promise. On my mother's grave. I will not run away.
- [Annie unlocks the handcuffs]
- Annie Walker: [after he's fallen down climbing out of the bathroom window] Your mom's not really dead, is she?
- Carlo Reni: You know, I'll bet you never had an Italian boyfriend.
- Annie Walker: Oh, which would change my life forever, no doubt.
- Carlo Reni: You joke, but if you ask any woman, she'd tell you. We know things. You, however, you're a lost cause.
- Annie Walker: Are you really this person?
- Carlo Reni: Uh...
- Annie Walker: I'm trying to keep us alive, and you're interested in my boyfriends?
- Carlo Reni: Well, I'm trying to help your love-life.
- Annie Walker: You wanna help me? Tell me who's trying to kill you.
- Carlo Reni: Well...
- Annie Walker: [impatiently taking him in tow] Unless a woman shouldn't know these things.
- Annie Walker: Look. We are still in danger. And I am still responsible for you.
- Carlo Reni: When did you decide that...
- Annie Walker: We don't have time for this. We need to get to the extraction point.
- [pulls him along]
- Carlo Reni: I am glad. I really am. But I have to do this.
- Annie Walker: No. You need to trust me.
- Carlo Reni: I do trust you. Mostly. But... I trust this, too. Look, if I'm going to get killed, Annie... Which at this point is fairly probable, then I have to get my story out. I have to. I made promises. And I want to keep those promises.
- Annie Walker: How do you know they'll print it?
- Carlo Reni: I don't.
- [shakes head]
- Carlo Reni: But it's not the battles won, Annie. It's the battles waged. You can understand that. If you are who I think you are.
- Annie Walker: [gives in] Make it quick.
- Carlo Reni: Your people are not coming.
- Annie Walker: [resolute in her belief] They're coming.
- Carlo Reni: No! The minute things became complicated, you became dispensable. It's easier to just let us die!
- Annie Walker: You're wrong. The people I work for do not think of me as dispensable. Or you.
- [picks up heavy wrench]
- Annie Walker: They'll be here. Come on.
