Interesting "experiment"

Warning: Spoilers
First of all, I want to say that I'm 50 years old. This show has 5 people over 70 with 5 people under 30, so I fall right in the middle.

Last night, I woke up during the night and couldn't sleep. I turned on TV Land and finished watching whatever sitcom was on. Then this show came on. I noticed through the on screen TV guide that this was episode #2. SInce I like watching shows from episode #1, I went to on demand to see if episode #1 was on there. Sure enough, it was. (I LOVE on demand. It has saved me a few times. 1000 stars for on demand.) So I watched the 1swt episode.

OK, here are the spoilers: The guests come in the house. First the seniors, then the younger crowd.

The first task is they participate in a game show. The game show segment was good, but I had a minor issue with it. Without giving too much away, listen to what happens with the sexting question, then the Jackie O question and tell me if that was fair.

I realize that they edit these shows quite a bit, but from the finished product, it seems the younger people seem more friendly than the older people. I won't give anything away, but watch the interaction in the kitchen after the game show.

Outside of the game show issue, I do like this show and plan to keep watching it.

Kind of insulted by this show.

I am only 32 so I am technically in the generation of the younger folks on this show. I have known personal computers and computers all my life and I have been familiar with the internet since middle school. I have never used a typewriter in my life and I know no one my age who has. I grew up with video games like Nintendo, Sega, N64, etc. My dad also had a car phone as far back as I can remember and I was in my late teens when I got my first cell phone. I was in my very early 20s when texting came of age, and was in my mid 20s when Facebook and Myspace come along. I hate how the younger category on this show is under 30. It makes it sound like people around my age(who aren't that much older than the younger people on this show)are more like the 70 year olds. Give me a break.

Great show that bridges the gap!

I wasn't expecting much when I started the first episode of Forever Young. Maybe it was because it was on TV Land I thought it might be corny or outdated. I am so glad I was wrong!!

I have laughed, I have cried. The show is both humorous and touching, and the best part is the relationships that develop with this group of strangers. Yes, some are old, some are young, but the point is that we are all human, and love and compassion are greater than the age gap in this group.

I don't want to ruin anything in my review, but I would highly recommend this!
