The show is basically just used to cross promote other companies.

The show is a big advertisement for whatever company is willing to give them money, whether it be Monster Energy, or Spy, or Alienware etc. Every single episode is full of product placement and plugging other companies. It's to the point where it REALLY takes away from the viewing experience. 30% advertising, 20% scripted scenes, and 50% fabrication.

It's the worst car show I've ever seen, and I watch a LOT of car shows.

Micro-Mangament 'Custom' Car Show With OTT Branding
t-d-t-m825 March 2024
Ok it's a dosey. I watched around 8 epsiodes before getting bored. It's the same formula. Repeat; rewind and rinse.

Get a contract with a cool and established brand for their project wow vehicle. Find out the turnaround is often 4 weeks. They meet in person with every client and it's on the show.

There's no talk of financials and the other stuff it's just a client going oh I'm going to want this and this and this and it's the most unique thing and then we'll have our branding on it in...zzz

It's corporate custom cars for corpoate America. It's not that interesting as the money side is just so blatent. It's got a lot of aggressive micromanagement with management talking down on employees constantly.

They apparently don't do enough work then end-up doing insanely-long shifts and the vehicle gets delivered last minute almost every episode.

This is a really stupid concept. Either hire more specialists and make sure the build is done on time or schedule a longer availability for the build. It's not neccessary for people to work so long.

It's quite tiring seein the same sleek cars and the formula is often the same with the branding everywhere. The budgets are extremely high yet the workspace management looks sloppy at best.

I learnt how not to maange employees and how not to do run a car shop.
