homegirl deserved better idc

I liked the girl, alright? I thought she was interesting and added something to the show.

I totally get why people might dislike her tho, i hate that they made her character so one dimensional. She could've been a genius or whatever and still have other aspects of her highlighted. Her dilemma in this episode was important for her character and i was soo excited to see an episode focused on her, but when she started doing the whole mnemonic thing right after she woke up i said god whyy??? Like she could've been a much more relatable character than she was but instead they made her this annoying know-it-all.

Anyways justice for my girlie, wish her the best.

Warning: Spoilers
The moral of the case was very strong. I think Masters did the right thing. However, it's really sad to see her go. She is so similar to me in some aspects of her life.

I loved the quote: "Nothing will ever be simple again" by Dr. House. I believe doctors understand us better sometimes that we even do ourselves.

Thank Goodness She's Gone!

Warning: Spoilers
Everytime House said, she's still talking, I laughed.

I've seen other characters where the girl is this chipper constantly talking girl, but they were cute and spunky and I didn't find them annoying, but this character!

I was also annoyed with the case and that idiot of a girl being willing to die so she can sail a boat and her two dumb parents just standing around.

I live in the US and I know parents are morons in this country while their kids run everything, but I still found myself screaming at the TV, be parents! Be adults!

In another country, the parents would be making the decisions. Oh, and when the father, whose genitals went missing, apparently decades ago, said I don't want to lose my family because I lost my cajones, I'm thinking when your kid is dead of a horrible disease, you two idiot parents will be blaming each other, and you won't have your kid nor your wife, you dum-dum.

Between the annoying character of Masters, the idiot patient, and the two dumb annoying parents, and I think Taub was in there somewhere being annoying, well, I was annoyed.

BTW, I'm pretty sure I would have zero problem with patients making dumb decisions. You want to die? Fine, here, sign this form in front of my personal lawyer, my insurance company, and the hospital's lawyers.

Informed consent!

Don't let the doorknob!

One of the best episodes.

Warning: Spoilers
Like a lot of episodes of this show, it proves once again that the best episodes are the ones that zoom out and focus on other characters. This isn't to say that House shouldn't be the main focus of the show but rather that these episodes show how House is perceived by those around him thus giving all other events of the show more context and meaning while also building out other characters and giving them time to shine. This episode reminds us that House is the big time that everyone is desperate to be involved in even if it's total chaos. It makes us remember that this is a job these people are working and their careers are constantly at threat. In other episodes House's threats seem empty because it feels more like characters come and go as the show needs them and everyone is more a TV family so they won't just dip off unless it's thematically needed. While this has elements of that, it doesn't feel like that's what you are watching. The threat to Master's career is very palpable and watching her resolve her long standing issue with following rules vs doing what's necessary was very satisfying and well presented. The show has some neat repeating elements as well like her waking up to her alarm clock and how it was slightly different each time. All in all a very well constructed episode. I'm surprised it's not more highly rated on here.

No, no, no, no

Warning: Spoilers
There is NO way . . . again w/ doctors playing gods. Who the H**** do they think they are????? Awful, just awful. Everyone has the right to make bad choices -- choices that leave them sick(er), dead, fired & w/o a job, homeless, whatever. No one, and I mean NO one has the right to force an opinion or choice on a person. This is the worst and boy, there are a LOT of really bad episodes in this series. But this one takes the cake. That young woman will NEVER forgive and never be happy again in her life, ever. Certainly not with her parents. Ever. Never. Just bad.

Obnoxious Loser Finally Leaves Show
Johnny_West4 September 2021
Bad enough to listen to House and his stupid remarks on every episode. This season they added Amber Tamblyn as Martha Masters, the Miss Manners of Medicine. The endless preaching and back-stabbing by Masters was hard to watch. Fortunately, on streaming video I can fast forward every time she starts talking to anyone.

Masters is constantly giving un-professional guilt trips to her patients, and I know if I had a nasty busy-body doctor like her I would have filed a complaint and had her removed from my hospital care five seconds later.

Why did the writers add this very nasty character into the mix? I kept hoping the punchline would be that she found out she had terminal cancer. I cannot imagine that the character of Masters was popular, and I wonder why they did not cut her out of the show a lot sooner. Pushing through a season of Masters was tough sledding. Thank God she is gone.

Worst episode of the House juggernaut
yorktown_hawk28 February 2021
This sappy, cringeworthy story about a med student is completely unnecessary. It's bad enough we've had to sit through something like 20 episode of a university/college student being a paid employee of supposedly one of the best doctors in the country simply because she's smart despite having no medial experience yet somehow can name any rare disease in the world quicker than her colleagues without having studied said diseases let alone read about them, but now we have to deal with a abominably poor representation of being a doctor in an episode dedicated to her?

This has to be an episode filler that replaced another episode because you can remove this episode from the series and the series doesn't miss a beat, kind of like how Taub was suddenly no longer there in an earlier series before being brought back because he 'tested' well with the audience.

I hate these sappy, sentimental types of episodes. They add nothing.
