"The Silent King" is one of the more "meh" episodes of the Season. It starts right in the middle of a battle with Xergiok (I think that's how you spell it), the abusive gobin king, against F & J. They, obviously, beat him, and he disappears, leaving open a space for king. Finn and Jake take his place, but Finn quickly regrets doing so, for very odd reasons...
The episode start is very odd. It makes it seem like it was supposed to start 5 minutes earlier, and instead of jumping right into battle, having a bit of backstory instead. I think I would've liked that better! And once again, the conclusion wasn't that good either, leaving poor Whisper Dan as king and the Goblins possibly in danger.
However, overall, this episode had a nice concept (which I think would have worked better as a 20 min episode), and actually some pretty fun characters! I wouldn't say I loved this episode, but I didn't hate it either!
Man, I sure hope if they sell Jake plushies, that his insides actually smell like vanilla.
