The Protector, starring Ally Walker (Episode 1/ Pilot)
It is great to see the lovely and talented Ally Walker back as a tough, intuitive crime solver. This series has a much lighter tone than "The Profiler" (in 1996), and a better look at the victim's suit than his injuries!
Her performance as the hurried and harried Gloria Shepherd, LAPD homicide detective, is delightful to watch, and the sassy banter with her partner Michelle Dulcett (Tisha Campbell-Martin) kept me smiling through most of the show.
While Gloria's work and family relationships keep her plenty busy, it doesn't take long to realize that her intelligence and determination mixed with a playful sense of confidence will keep the bad guys...and everyone else, on their toes!
