Everything Sunny All the Time Always (#5.22)

Warning: Spoilers
Avery is kidnapped in North Korea by a guy who did some acting with Tracy before and Jack tries his best to get her back. Tracy is upset about his entourage having an inside joke that he doesn't understand and makes them recreate it as close as possible. Meanwhile Liz has some issues with a plastic bag.

The kidnapping story was pretty good. I liked the scene of Avery talking to the camera as well as Jack's conversation with Condoleezza Rice which was very well performed.

Seeing Tracy readjusting back with the crew was fun as well. I really like Dot Com character.

Margaret Cho as Kim Jong-Il is a standout

Warning: Spoilers
The casting of legendary actress Margaret Cho as Kim Jong-Il is incredibly inspired. Here Avery is kidnapped by Kim Jong-Il, and ends up reading news reports propoganda from North Korea.

It's easy to forget that 30 Rock and Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip debuted on NBC at the same time. Conventional wisdom was that Sorkin's powerhouse series be the one that would survive the first season, with 30 Rock being a one season wonder. But history has proved otherwise.
