If you’re looking for a new addictive Western drama now that “Yellowstone” is headed toward its final episodes, Netflix has delivered “Territory” just in time. The Australian succession drama stars Anna Torv, Michael Dorman and Robert Taylor in a sprawling saga about the fight for power and coveted land in the outback.
Set in the vast wilderness of Australia’s Top End, “Territory” follows the generational battle between rival cattle barons, lawless cattle thieves, Indigenous elders and billionaire miners. Fighting for land and cattle, the six-episode series is centered on the Lawson family, who runs Marrianne Station, the world’s biggest cattle station, and has to fend off encroaching forces at every side.
A generational Western epic, “Territory” has a vast ensemble cast to match. If you’re trying to keep track of the Lawsons, Hodges, Kirbys and more — and who plays them — here’s the “Territory” cast and character guide you need.

We’re inching closer to the highly anticipated return of one of CBS’s top shows, and things are getting hotter than ever.
Jared Padalecki joining Fire Country has us geeking out because why wouldn’t we love a Thieriot-Padalecki bromance on our favorite surviving firefighter series? His character, Camden, will appear in three episodes of the third season with a significant purpose.
Many fans are wary of the staff addition, given that it’s a set-up for a third “Country” series, which is currently in the planning stage.
(Valerie MacOn/Afp via Getty Images)
Fire Country struggled through its second season, so news of slate of spinoffs isn’t as exciting as it should be.
What’s going to happen when that universe divides into new entities?
Despite our reservations about the spinoff news, most of us are loving the dreamy possibilities of Padalecki and Thieriot as sweaty, filthy firefighter buddies.

New episodes of Yellowstone are right around the corner! Yellowstone season 5 part 2 premieres on Nov. 10, 2024. In fact, the new trailer for the series just dropped, too!
It’s been so long since the first half of Yellowstone season 5 ended on Jan. 1, 2023. Almost two years will have passed by the time all six episodes in season 5 part 2 air. And, unfortunately, you do have a fair bit of time until the show returns.
Luckily, we picked out seven shows like Yellowstone to watch while you wait for Yellowstone season 5 part 2! We didn’t include 1923 or 1883 for obvious reasons, but we highly recommend watching those, as well!
Tulsa King
We know Yellowstone fans, more often than not, are fans of creator Taylor Sheridan. Well, good news! Sheridan has a bunch of TV shows that you need to watch. Up first on the list is Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone. Garrett Hedlund, Andrea Savage,...

Taylor Sheridan has built a television empire with his Yellowstone universe. Now, he’s adding to it with a modern-day spinoff, The Madison.
Sheridan already blessed us with two Yellowstone prequels to satisfy our Western-series cravings: 1883 and 1923.

With the future of the original series Yellowstone up in the air because of Kevin Costner’s departure, The Madison will be able to keep the Yellowstone universe going even without John Dutton, sadly.
It would have been cool to see Kevin Costner pop up in The Madison, but it’s not to be. But anything is possible in Hollywood these days, so you never know.
But The Madison will be anything but lacking in star power. Here’s what we know so far!

Yellowstone has become one of the biggest shows on television, as it should because the series is a brilliant piece of art, which deserves every praise it gets. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the neo-Western drama series revolves around the Dutton family who own the largest ranch in America. While there is a lot of infighting amongst the family they must all stand together to protect what’s there from several enemies. Yellowstone stars Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Luke Grimes, Kelsey Asbille, Wes Bentley, Jefferson White, and Ian Bohen. Now, that Yellowstone is ending soon with Part 2 of its Season 5, we are here to suggest some similar shows while you wait for the final Yellowstone episodes.

Well, when we spoke with Rocky Carroll, he did say that “procedurals—and this procedural in particular—are very reminiscent of what Westerns meant to television in the ’60s and ’70s,” so why not bring a bit of a Western vibe with some casting into the world of NCIS? Robert Taylor, who starred on the western Longmire, has been cast in the recurring role of Gibbs’ hard-nosed father, Jackson, in the upcoming prequel NCIS: Origins. For 12 seasons, "Murder, She Wrote" was the definitive cozy murder mystery show. Set in the small and charming yet dead-body-filled fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine, the show wormed its way into the hearts of procedural fans everywhere with its familiar structure and unlikely hero -- middle-aged mystery writer Jessica Fletcher (Angela Lansbury). While the actor behind the beloved amateur sleuth passed away in 2022, "Murder, She Wrote" lives on, both in the form of much-watched reruns and in an upcoming movie adaptation.
Little is known about the new version of "Murder, She Wrote" at this point, but screenwriters Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo have said that the story will relate back to Cabot Cove and Jessica in some capacity. Well, this one's a true shocker.
Max has made the shocking decision to cancel Warrior.
The decision comes months after Warrior Season 3 wrapped on the streaming service.
Max rarely releases viewership statistics like many other streaming services, so it's difficult to assess how well the show performed.
The only good news to come from the cancellation is that Netflix has picked up the rights to past episodes of the series.
Deadline first reported the news, revealing that the show is set to hit Netflix in February 2024.
If the show proves to be a success with the service's subscribers, it could lead to additional seasons being produced.
Netflix has picked up many canceled shows in the past, including Cobra Kai, Longmire, and Manifest, so the company could be seen as a decent destination to get fresh episodes.
If the series does secure a reprieve at Netflix, it would mark its third U.

The WGA strike is now nearing the 150 day mark. And while negotiators for the WGA and major media companies have come together again to further the conversation, but an end to the double strike is uncertain — especially as negotiations with SAG-AFTRA are still to follow. Zahn McClarnon loves that you love Dark Winds, the 1970s-set crime/mystery drama that returns with Season 2 this Thursday (on AMC+) and Sunday at 9/8c (on AMC proper).

The Mandalorian has given Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan Kryze on the Star Wars series, perhaps her most popular role. But Sackhoff very nearly didn’t pursue acting at all. In fact, she had a very different career plan until fate intervened. Here’s how Sackhoff decided to become an actor, finding herself on a collision course with Hollywood in the late ’90s.

Even though the Star Wars saga has been absent from the big screen for the past few years, The Mandalorian and subsequent other Disney+ series have kept the “galaxy far, far away” alive and thriving. The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, a bounty hunter who creates an unexpected bond with a baby alien named Grogu (formerly known as “Baby Yoda”). But the series has expanded a lot since that fairly straightforward premise, bringing in TV veterans like Katee Sackhoff. But how much is the actor who plays Bo-Katan Kryze actually worth? Let’s find out.
Katee Sackhoff had humble beginnings before her acting career
These days, Sackhoff might be making waves in the “galaxy far, far away.” But she wasn’t always such a fan-favorite star. In fact, as she told fans during a 2020 live Q&a, her entire household relied on her mother’s modest income when Sackhoff was a child.

The theft of a valuable Native American artifact triggers a cascading series of violent crimes in Americana, a revisionist Western set in present-day South Dakota. Writer-director Tony Tost brings his years of experience on similarly themed episodic series like Damnation and Longmire to his directing debut, an ensemble feature with multiple overlapping storylines. The plot premise for Americana concerns a Lakota nation “ghost shirt,” a garment fashioned from animal skin that was thought to be instilled with special powers for adherents of the ghost dance, a late 19th century Native American religious movement.
Although stylistically and thematically a Western, the borderline comedic tone of Tost’s script, along with frequent gratuitous violence, rapid-fire dialogue and a non-linear narrative structure, suggest Americana is more of a hybrid crime drama in the Tarantino mold. The film’s appeal for genre enthusiasts should also be enhanced by the appearance of multi-platinum singer-songwriter Halsey in her first dramatic role,...

[This story contains spoilers for The Mandalorian “Chapter 19: The Convert.”]
The Mandalorian star Katee Sackhoff has pulled off the impossible.
Sackhoff knows full well how rare it is for a voice role to become a live-action role, but she made the leap as of Mandalorian season two, having already voiced Mandalorian warrior Bo-Katan Kryze periodically on Star Wars animated series The Clone Wars and Rebels since 2012. Of course, the Oregon native is also self-aware enough to know that her existing body of live-action work on beloved series like Battlestar Galactica and Longmire made the jump more viable.
“I take into consideration that I, for the bulk of my career, have not been out making period rom-coms. To a certain extent, I have played characters that are very similar to Bo-Katan, so I do understand how the transition was easier to imagine,” Sackhoff tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Director David Gordon Green, who recently made a trilogy of Halloween sequels, is now working on a sequel to the 1973 classic The Exorcist (watch it Here) – with the hope being that this movie will be the first in a trilogy of Exorcist sequels. Green is planning to direct all three of them. We know that original Exorcist star Ellen Burstyn is reprising the role of Chris MacNeil in the film. We know that Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton) is playing a character who tracks down Chris MacNeil after his child becomes possessed. But we don’t know who their co-stars Lidya Jewett (Nightbooks), Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale), and newcomer Olivia Marcum are playing. So the latest bit of The Exorcist casting news comes with a bit of a surprise: it comes with minor character details! Deadline reports that Raphael Sbarge is in the cast, and he’s playing a pastor.
