A Great Political Debate On Natural Disasters
FilmMan4710 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
this film says what i just wrote in my summary i mean in the face there are so many natural disaster films been made the Hollywood started it and the rest of the world is also making it but the budget is no issue in these cases the story matters you see in these type of films the story don't matter much as natural disaster don't come with a plot its just natural by nature.

the plot:the year is 2022 18 years after the tsunami of 2004 the earth is once again about to face the wrath of Tsunami this time its big enough to destroy everything the first country will be Thailand.

as for the cast there are so many women here, the technical department does show some great scenes of water coming down in the city & all the buildings get destroyed it looked nice but like a cut scene from a video game other then that what i just laugh at were the scenes of the prime minister and the great political debate going on instead of focusing on the issue, the runtime is way too long it will be hard to sit through this one & like i said before there are so many films being made like this its just got boring to be honest its not fun anymore.

now this is a film from Thailand so far there are no reviews i expected the nutshell-review aka dick steel guy from Singapore to pick this up but i guess he don't watch all films,to put it simple once again critical reception don't matter at all films are for people not for critics so if you want some good laugh try watching this film 2022 Tsunami 2009 my rating is 3/10.

Well formulated disaster movie
ebiros229 November 2011
This is a disaster movie depicting massive tsunami to hit the coast of Thailand due to an earthquake.

Instability in the earth's plate caused by 2004 boxer day tsunami, and pressures in tectonic plate is causing underwater volcanoes to become active after 17 years. Series of ruptures in ocean floor is being reported, and scientists headed by Dr. Siam is getting alarmed. But after series of false alarms, their credibility for predictions is getting low.

The story is bit slow in the beginning, but for a modest budget movie, it attempts to create destruction in massive scale using CG like seen on "The Day After". The story is credible as a disaster movie, and the casts does a good job of depicting people in different positions of the government.

Not a bad movie that has many highlights that gives you the feeling of a Hollywood movie. with local flavor of beautiful Thailand.

A bad choreography on the same rhetoric
TheNonSmoker25 December 2022
Even tho it was free on YT, still was a such a gigantic waste of time. The dialogues of the movie were so immature and laughable, doesn't make sense at all, just the same nonsense over and over again, erasing all the seriousness from the worrisome topic. This work looks like some sort of group project of a film school, I mean it has to be, because of the immature and unintelligent stuff. The movie starts with a random protest of some highly motivated people doing nonsensical acts like blocking roads, taking fists with the police, trying to grab attention from the local Thailand government blah blah, so much nonsense.
