Very Good Addition:

A Very Good Show: Good Plot twists, Great Character Development, and Plenty of intrigue and Action to go around! It seems you have to watch each new 1 very Closely, cause they (the Writers) often seem to Throw in a lot of Wicked Breaking Ball Stuff that just blows you away when it is shown, stuff you wouldn't likely have guessed was coming, particularly if you have not been paying attention during Previous Shows: Hmnn Odd thing for a person to say! I really hope this show gets a Full Pickup as it is 1 of the Better Shows available on TV: However I really liked Miami Medical & Three Rivers and they are both History, so maybe I know very Little! But I Digress! Cheers T:

Blue Bloods-It's Always All in the Family ***1/2

Warning: Spoilers
This episode mainly focuses on the Russian influence as Little Odessa in the Brighton Beach community. When a young Russian, son of a mobster, is shot to death at his engagement party, the police need to bring the culprits to justice so as to avoid a major way in south Brooklyn.

As a sidebar, the Commissioner's daughter becomes involved in a case where the mayor's associate is accused of corruption. The nature of the corruption is never thoroughly explained.

Most of the episode deals with the Brighton Beach affair and it's just as well.

Frank meets with the victim's father, a major mobster in the area. This is regarded as a condolence call so as to keep the peace. Let's remember that Frank lost his own son, so there is some compassion here.

Fraught with politics
bkoganbing11 August 2016
This episode focuses primarily on ADA Bridget Moynahan and Donnie Wahlberg of the Reagan law enforcement family. Wahlberg catches the case of the shooting of the son of a Russian gangster family head. The NYPD is understandably worried about dead bodies piling up in and around Brighton Beach if a mob war starts.

When the reason is discovered it's for one of the more prosaic motives ever. What some won't do for their family.

At the same time the DA Bobby Cannavale assigns Moynahan a tricky corruption case involving a prostitution ring that could touch the mayor's office. The case is fraught with politics as Cannavale is a rival of Mayor Bruce Altman and looking at that job to move up. It's a minefield.

Watch this to see how the minefield is navigated.
