It's Kirk Gibson's home run ball
bkoganbing7 November 2017
Beau Bridges makes the first of three appearances on Franklin&Bash as Breckin Meyer's hard case father who has the whitest of white shoes in a most prestigious law firm. The kind of law that his son and Mark- Paul Gosselaar practice is anathema to him. A father who practiced tough love in his child rearing he takes the other side of a case that the firm took just to show his son up.

Robert Pine is being sued by his sons for possession of the 1988 Kirk Gibson home run ball which is legendary in Dodger history. He wants to hang on to this piece of history the sons Ian Reed Keslar and Charlie Finn want to get the big bucks from some collector. Pine is supported by his daughter Nicole Steinwedell.

But during the proceedings Pine makes a speedy departure from this life and it becomes a different kind of case as he died in testate and the guys get Bridges appointed executor of the estate. A whole new kind of law in a different venue opens up now.

You have to see the resolution. But it looks like there's no resolving the father and son conflict in the Franklin family.
