If you’ve been anywhere near a television in the last couple of years, odds are you’re already familiar with Dominic Burgess. The British actor broke through in 2017’s “Feud: Bette and Joan” as actor Victor Buono, before popping up in a number of memorable appearances — playing everything from serial killer John Wayne Gacy in “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” to an accident-prone man on “The Good Place” whose hideous red boots create an existential crisis for Chidi.
Most recently, the actor has been stealing scenes as Grayman, the stylist to the grande dames (including Kristen Wiig and Allison Janney) on Apple TV’s “Palm Royale” — and as Hamish Moss, a director on the rise on “American Horror Story: Delicate.” That is, he was on the rise before the April 3 episode, in which Moss met a gruesome death at the hands of Kim Kardashian’s devilish publicist.

Vanessa Morgan isn’t saying goodbye to The CW any time soon. After spending over six years portraying Southside Serpent Toni Topaz on the network’s quirky Archie Comics-inspired teen drama Riverdale, the actress has found a home on a new CW series: Wild Cards.
The Canadian-American series, which is co-produced with CBS and currently airs weekly, is part crime-solving procedural, part comedy, and part will-they/won’t-they? romance. Morgan stars as Max Mitchell, a clever and charismatic con artist who teams up with no-nonsense cop Cole Ellis (Giacomo Gianniotti) to solve crimes in exchange for staying out of jail.
At the 2024 Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, Morgan — who’s previously appeared on shows like Finding Carter, Degrassi: The Next Generation, A.N.T. Farm, and The Shannara Chronicles — described her Wild Cards character Max as a “dream role.” “I would say every kind of role prepared me for this one,...

It's always hard to say goodbye to a show you've grown to love. It's even harder to imagine a television superteam landscape without the unpredictable, over-the-top, completely unapologetic hijinks of the Doom Patrol.
After three and a half seasons of flatulent donkeys, time travel, interdimensional shenanigans, sex ghosts, puppets, and freakin' were-butts, our misfit superbeings are wrapping up their adventures and facing off against their greatest challenge yet -- old age. Oh, and someone called Immortus.
Doom Patrol Season 4 returns on Max on October 12 with a double-decker wallop of a premiere. I'd recommend you prepare yourself, but there's really no way to prepare for what's coming.
When last we left our intrepid team, Rita, Jane, and Larry had lost their longevity. Rouge and Rita had returned to the Ant Farm and learned that Wally Sage was the puppetmaster behind the rise of Immortus.
Meanwhile, Cliff, Jane, Vic, and Vic's childhood bestie,...

Insane Clown Posse have announced an otherworldly edition of their annual Gathering of the Juggalos event, and keeping with the “Wicked Clowns from Outer Space” theme, the 2023 lineup features Alien Ant Farm, a host of extraterrestrial attractions, and a tribute set to the group’s definitive 1999 tour of the same name.
The 23rd Gathering will go down July 5th-8th at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio, which has become a “UFO hotspot” according to the band in a statement. For their headlining set, Icp will offer a faithful recreation of their “Wicked Clowns from Outer Space” set, which launched in 1999 and concluded only months before the first Gathering of the Juggalos in July 2000. Those who are listeners to our Safe Room Podcast will note that back in December, Neil and Jay talked a bit about Duonix Studios‘ retro survival horror title 10 Dead Doves. The team announced this morning that the game’s Kickstarter is now live.
10 Dead Doves has been in development since February 2021 with a 3-person team. Currently, the game has a 30-minute demo that you can check out for free via itch.io.
The Kickstarter is set at $10,000, which would “provide [the team] with enough resources to recoup the heaviest costs involved in self-funding the project.” Any additional funding would give the team more room to develop additional content. Obviously, there are a range of reward tiers for those who pledge a certain amount towards the project.

Finally, we're getting some Grace content, you guys!
Grace Ryder is really the heart of the series, and it's been long overdue for the season to give her a meaty storyline or at least pick up one from her past.
And thankfully, 9-1-1 Lone Star Season 4 Episode 13 will deliver on that as we check back in with Grace's family, including her parents and previously unseen sisters.
Much of 9-1-1 Lone Star Season 4 has scaled back on the emergencies and the calls that the teams have been dispatched to in favor of providing us with more personal arcs and insight into the various characters off the job as much as on it.
It's been a polarizing decision with mixed results, but no one can deny how great it is when they've taken time to delve deeper into characters, especially those of whom we haven't learned much about over the years.

Despite the glaring absence of Dorothy and Space Case, Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 6 does an admirable job lining up (almost) all the major players at the height of potential catastrophe.
I'll probably pour one out for Bunbury later, but I am glad the foul-mouthed rabbit mage didn't turn out to be a secret Immortus agent.
And if all it takes for Rita and Rouge to forgive each other and team up is a reverse-aging spell, an Ant Farm infiltration mission, and the imminent end of existence (must be Thursday), then it's no wonder it took so long.
They are quite the delightful duo when they aren't at each other's throats. There's a wonderful balance to their partnership.
When Rita wants to admit defeat and return home, Rouge bolsters her energies and holds her to their teenage pledge.
When Rouge feels trounced by learning that Wally Sage is their Immortus ringleader,...

With the high level of bonkers shenanigans (in both quantity and quality) we have come to expect from the series, I appreciate getting Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 1 and Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 2 together as a kickstart to the season.
The first hour situates the audience, providing information such as how much time has passed and how the team members are adjusting to yet another new abnormal when they realize they are the cause of the future Butt-pocalypse.
And the second hour focuses on their attempts to derail the Butt-pocalypse as well as -- you guessed it -- the Butts.
In all honesty, I'm not sure I can handle recognizing the Butts as sentient, intelligent, and emotionally complex creatures.
Only time will tell, but from their violent, if temporary, disruption of the Ant Farm on Doom Patrol Season 1 Episode 12 to their zombifying on Doom Patrol Season 3 Episode 4, the Butts have been,...

(Warning: This post, which was first published July 15, contains spoilers for the series premiere of FX on Hulu’s “American Horror Stories.”)
“American Horror Story” spinoff “American Horror Stories” debuted Thursday on FX on Hulu with an homage to the original franchise’s iconic first season, “Murder House.” By the end of the two-part series premiere episode, titled “Rubber (Wo)man,” murderous heroine Scarlett (played by Sierra McCormick) has managed to do the unthinkable: Escape the Murder House and live to not just tell the tale — but return every year at Halloween to visit the eternally trapped ghosts of her love Ruby (Kaia Gerber) and dads Michael (Matt Bomer) and Troy (Gavin Creel).
We’ve seen many others try and fail at this task throughout “AHS” history, and most of the time it’s because someone who claimed to care about the person ended up killing them to keep them there.

Although we've only seen two episodes so far, FX's American Horror Stories has already given us a new iconic character in the premiere: Sierra McCormick's Scarlett, aka the Rubber Woman. The prickly Scarlett becomes one of Murder House's latest victims after her dads (Matt Bomer and Gavin Creel) buy it to flip it into an upscale haunted-house experience. After a few nights in her new home, Scarlett's dark side intensifies when she puts on Tate Langdon's old gimp suit, and she spares no one who scorns her, especially not the mean girls at school. McCormick delivers a tour-de-force performance that explores every creepy and complicated aspect of Scarlett's character. So who is McCormick, and where might you have seen her before? Here's what to know about the 23-year-old actress's impressive résumé!

It’s hard to believe that American Pie arrived over twenty years ago as it seems like just yesterday that we were all listening to wild band camp stories and getting hilarious advice from Jim’s awkward father. Over two decades later, the iconic R-rated comedy has spawned multiple sequels and spinoffs and inspired tons of other comedies, but as of yet, we’re still left waiting for a proper American Pie 5.
Whether or not the fifth installment ever happens remains to be seen, of course, but in the meantime, the brand is continuing to pump out spinoffs and the latest is American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules. As you can see in the trailer up above, it’s not exactly the new outing that fans may be hoping for, but it’s still the first entry in the franchise in quite a long time and looks to be following...

Disney Plus has revealed the full list of movies and TV shows, both original and pre-existing content, that will be coming to the streaming service over the next month. The site will be adding the new titles to its library in three batches throughout June. It’s not the biggest haul of new material if we’re being honest, but there are a few key items you’ll want to look out for.
Most notably, Artemis Fowl is hitting Disney Plus on June 12th. The fantasy movie directed by Thor‘s Kenneth Branagh, and based off the popular Ya novels by Eoin Colfer, was originally set to debut in theaters but has been switched to a streaming release given the Covid-19 pandemic. This is the first time the studio has made such a move, but it’s been noted they may do so again if this one turns out to be successful.

The comparisons are inevitable, so we might as well get them out of the way: “Good Girls Get High” sounds a lot like “Booksmart” because, well, it is a lot like “Booksmart.” But if its heroines can co-exist as joint valedictorians, there’s no reason we can’t embrace a pair of like-minded comedies about brainy teens who decide to go wild before high school ends.

She got accepted, but her single dad is struggling just to keep his old-fashioned ice-cream shop open in the Instagram era. When Sara Parriott and Josann McGibbon first teamed up 32 years ago, the door had just started to crack open for female film writers.
“We came at the right time, it was right when women writers were coming into vogue,” McGibbon said. “It was the time of ‘Thelma and Louise’ and there was two of us — a blonde and a brunette and it all fell into place.”
Parriott and McGibbon’s latest project, “Descendants 2,” premieres Friday night on Disney Channel, as well as ABC, Freeform, Disney Xd and Lifetime. It’s now a key franchise for Disney, and the latest career twist for Parriott and McGibbon, who now boast one of the longest-running writing partnerships in all of Hollywood.

The Descendants are adding a poor, unfortunate soul to their ranks.
Disney Channel on Friday announced that China Anne McClain (A.N.T. Farm) is joining the cast of Descendants 2 as Uma, the daughter of legendary sea witch Ursula. McClain previously voiced Freddie, the daughter of The Princess and the Frog‘s Dr. Facilier, in the animated series Descendants: Wicked World.
The sequel — premiering in 2017, with production slated to begin this summer — will also introduce the offspring of Captain Hook and Beauty and the Beast‘s Gaston; their casting will be announced soon.
The cast of the original 2015 film will also return for Descendants 2 — Dove Cameron as Mal, daughter of Maleficent; Cameron Boyce as Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil; Booboo Stewart as Jay, son of Jafar; Sofia Carson as Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen; and Mitchell Hope as King Ben, son of Belle and the Beast — along with Kenny Ortega as director, executive producer and choreographer.
“Just when you thought ‘Happily Ever After’ had come to the land of Auradon, Descendants 2 turns the page to reveal a whole new level of mystery and surprise,” warns Disney Channel president Gary Marsh.

59 years ago today, Elvis Presley made his second appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” It was the first time he was on the show with the eponymous host present, as Sullivan was recovering from a car accident. Charles Laughton guest hosted that show. On the October 28, 1956 show, Presley performed “Don’t Be Cruel” and “Love Me Tender.” And he played a four minute-long version of his hit “Hound Dog.” (That September, he had performed a one minute and seven seconds version of the song on the show.) At both his first and second appearance on the show, audiences went wild for his gyrating hips. It was at his third and final appearance on the show, in January 1957, that he was famously taped and photographed from the waist up only. Before his first appearance on “Ed Sullivan,” the host had vowed to never allow Presley on the show. Sullivan wouldn’t...

So, Universal has released the above first look picture from their upcoming Jem and the Holograms movie and I wonder, without any other information how many people today even know or care about what this isc I know because my sister loved the cartoon when she was growing up, back in the mid-'80s, but seeing how it ended its run in 1989 and hasn't had any sort of resurrection, at least not that I know of, who exactly is the audience for this moviec Perhaps the cast gives us some idea as Aubrey Peeples stars as Jem along with Disney Channel stars Stefanie Scott ("A.N.T. Disney has a long history of churning out teen stars who seem wholesome on the small and big screen, but in real life, they’re champagne-swilling, cigarette-smoking, club-hopping messy menaces (you know who we’re referring to, no need to name names). These days, many of the newer starshave cleaned up their acts — but something else is happening. Instead of behaving far too grown in their off-duty lives, they’re looking downright adult on their shows. Whether it’s because they’re actually damn near 30 (like Albert on How to Build a Better Boy) or styled like a substitute teacher (Ally on Austin & Ally), the new class of Disney “teen” stars could easily pass for residents on Grey’s Anatomy.
From Zapped’s Zendaya to the so-called middle-schoolers on A.N.T. Farm, check out the most grown-looking characters on the Disney Channel.
