A surprising episode.

I have to say I wasn't totally looking forward to this one, the Franky episode was fairly typical of Skins, a teen with the usual angst, self image problems etc, what you get with Rich is essentially a metal head who's shy to ask a girl out. It turned out to be quite a powerful episode, in the opening episode Rich's character had seemed a little one dimensional, but as always with Skins, there is so much more to each character then appears on the surface. This played out extremely well, Alexander Arnold was brilliant, a hugely talented actor. Not being into metal much I found it a little hard to relate to, but having been with friends to a few metal gigs, I get the appeal.

More then appears on the surface, 8/10

Metal Music Guy Named Rich

So we start off in a club - Rich and his mate are with two blondies. The blonde girls are dressed in cutesy type of clothes and fashion. Rich changes the music from pop to metal and they end up getting thrown out.

Rich's friend points out a metal girl in the library. She is a worker there. His friend says look at her meaning her appearance is hot and Rich is also attracted to her. He attempts to talk to her but fumbles his words.

Franky tells the boys to talk to Mini's friend who is a ballerina. She is practicing alone in the studio when one of the boys point out you can see her vagina through that leotard. Later Mini's friend says the same thing. Lol.

Rich attempts to ask out the library girl and she refuses him, insulting him along the way. She says she can smell his pants and wouldn't want to touch his prepubescent penis.

Rich goes to buy the record for 500 pounds and listens to it. Next thing we see is him in the doctor's being told he has gone deaf.

The relationship between Rich and Mini's friend blooms a bit.
