It's very bittersweet watching Law and Order: Los Angeles a decade after it debuted, and seeing it find its feet but knowing that it got unjustly axed after only one season. Really, the network-powers-that-be should have given Law and Order: Los Angeles another chance to grow in season two. This episode represents the spirit of the original Law and Order, where one crime points to the obvious suspect, but then leads to something bigger, a conspiracy beyond the original crime, a cover-up that only the scriptwriters could conjure up and it was entertaining and gripping.
