Scandal a brewing
bkoganbing29 December 2016
This is a Blue Bloods episode I actually loved. There's a scandal brewing involving DNA testing done sloppily and we have the Mayor looking to stay clear and a City Councilperson looking to make some hay on a potential scandal. Michelle Hurst the Councilperson decides to challenge Tom Selleck publicly.

Mayor Bruce Altman says that Selleck should develop some political smarts. Selleck shows him that you can't develop what you already have. With the help of trusty assistant Abigail Hawk he does some research that definitely backs off Hurst.

But one particular vicious serial killer has been let loose and this sick piece of crap has developed a fan club. Several of the Reagan family are potential targets because several of them had a hand in locking him up. The climax is one Reagan saving another from death and a degrading death at that.

You have to see this for the way Selleck handles his accuser.

Can't Get Much Better than This ****
edwagreen20 November 2010
This episode in this fabulous show is so revealing as it describes that corruption and cut-backs in government spending can put us all in jeopardy.

Three dangerous criminals have to be released due to a DNA foul-up.

Our mayor who is seeking reelection is in an absolute frenzy. A black city councilwoman with designs on the office for herself, is putting the heat on his honor who in turn is pressuring Commissioner Frank Reagan.

This week's Sunday dinner is in the middle of the show where the family seems frustrated by their inability to put an insane attacker away.

The end is marvelous as one of the Reagan clan becomes a potential victim before Frank Reagan shows the man he is made of.

Really a shame that politics has to be involved even in crime solving and apprehension. The show did a great job of depicting that.

Something bugging me

Love this episode but have to admit, there is one thing that bugs me every time I watch it. Erin grew up in a house with 3 brothers. Both dad and grandfather police officers. But it looked like she didn't have any self defence skills when Dick attacked her.
