The saga begins

I didn't expect to like a show, where a teenager is being edgy and awkward for an hour, but "Words, Words, Words" just makes this work.

It is the first part of the Bo Burnham stand-up trilogy, followed by "what." (2013) and "Make Happy" (2016). The show is not what you would call classic stand-up, it relies heavily on music and props to support it's jokes, but compared to Bo Burnham's later specials, it has this raw and unrefined feel to it. So if you expect higher production value, you may prefer "what." and "Make Happy", but if you are ok with just a guy, on a stage, being funny, then "Words, Words, Words" may be the show for you.

Bo Burnham has been my favorite comedian for a long time now. This class act was seen for the first time on a Comedy Central Special where the crowd didn't really get his jokes. So he had to sing his songs slower for them to get it. Words, Words, Words is loaded with unbelievably offensive songs and jokes that is bound to tickle your funny bone. This guy delivers his best in his first and only special. He rose to fame with you tube, and now people check him out because he's Zach Stone. But for anyone who likes stand up comedy, this act is a must see. No matter how many times you watch this special of his, it isn't enough.

Underrated

Probably the least thought-provoking Bo Burnham special, however it's also the one that made me laugh the most. We have some absolute gems in the special such as: Words Words Words and Oh Bo on piano. Men and Women on guitar and Rant(prerecorded).

There is also some great stand up here, way better than his other shows. Personally I believe that Words Words Words is extremely underrated. It's not my favourite Bo Burnham special, however it is a great use of an hour if you want some good laughs and great songs. The most unexpected part of the special was where he left after Oh Bo and then returned to play two classics (I'm bo Yo and Love is) . Overall it's a solid 8.8/10 from me.
