Heartwarming story

"Love at First Sight" is a drama about a man called Arthur in a nursing home. One day, he falls in love with a woman called Ruth at first sight. Then he talks to her and then takes a walk, and dances with her. After he has fun with her, he proposes to her, and she accepts. This story is heartwarming, and all people who appear in this movie make me feel happy. This film is short but fulfilling, so that is the reason I recommend this. Moreover, their acting makes us think that they really enjoy the moment. In particular, the scene where they dance in the room is wonderful and they look much younger. This film must make the audience feel happy. There are no evil people, so anyone who loves heartwarming films should watch this. Not just heartwarming, but we are moved by the situation, especially the second half of the film, so I recommend this film to people of all generations.

"Love at First Sight" is a short film about the romance of an old man. The old man, named Arthur, lives in a nursing house, and he falls in love with an old woman, named Ruth, at first sight. They talk a lot and spend time together all day long. I like this film's atmosphere which takes time slowly and Arthur and Ruth look so happy. In addition, I like this movie's deployment. As the story progresses, we can learn about their past like Arthur's career and so on. In particular, the scene that Ruth sees her album tells us the truth behind their romance. Moreover, I like the last scene because I think the impressions of people have changed. Some people think this is a happy love story, other people think this is a sad love story. However, I think we can enjoy watching this movie, and exchanging ideas about this is also interesting, so I recommend this film.

Good Love Story

"Love at First Sight" is a short comedy about an old man named Arthur. This movie dates from 2010. One day, he falls in love with an old woman named Ruth at first sight. Then, they go on a date and he proposes to her on that day.

While chatting, dancing, and walking, they enjoy their date and it is lovely. In addition, I can feel his strong affection toward her in the scene when he first speaks to and proposes to her from his sincere eyes and words. These scenes are very romantic. Even when she talks about her husband, Arthur doesn't get jealous of him at all. On the contrary, Arthur says that he is a nice husband. From this scene, we can also understand that he is gentle and likes her very much.

At the start of the film, there is a scene when Arthur asks his friends about first love and they become confused by it. This is impressive because I know the real meaning of their reaction after watching the whole movie.

In conclusion, this is a good film which makes us feel romantic and I think many people can enjoy watching it.

Two basic virtues define this lovely short film - the presence ( and acting ) of Phyllida Law and John Hurts, the twist, gentle and sweet in its dramatic resonance.

A love story admirable crafted.

But a love story special in its essence, first for the old fashion, so near by fairy tale or mythology story.

Two venerable people. His fascination about a beautiful lady. His enthusiasm. The memories and passing afternoon. And a lovely turn of events and the significance of the words of venerable man front to the new day.

Easy to define as romantic gem. But it is more. Maybe, precise definition of authentic love. Or story about invisible connections.

In short, just touching and seductive.

Arthur speaks to her and they become friends. After spending the day together, Arthur asks Ruth to marry him. This story is beautiful, but you may feel sad when you know the truth. At the same time, your heart will be warmed by the kindness of the people around Arthur and Ruth. Their love is possible with the support of the people around them. And we also learn that Arthur's love for Ruth is true. I can not help but wish them happiness. "Love at First Sight" is really worth seeing. This film contains a lot of people's kindness.

At that moment, he finds a nice lady named Ruth. He asks his friend who she is, but his friends feel at a loss for an answer. Arthur talks to Ruth, and they get to know each other. They enjoy chatting, and lying down on the grass. After that, Arthur gives her a marriage proposal. They tell about their experience in their youth. From the talk, Ruth notices a secret of Arthur's. The next morning, Arthur gets up and goes to his breakfast. In the end, Arthur repeats what he has done before. Like Arthur's friends, Ruth is taken aback.

However, she accepts him and has a wonderful time. I think this movie shows us eternal love through the decades. I think this movie is worth watching if you like a nice elderly couple.

The next day, Arthur goes to breakfast and falls in love at first sight with Ruth, who is sitting in the same place. It is a very heartwarming and good story. I thought it was a wonderful love story. It was interesting because I have not seen many love stories between old people. It is a love story using dementia, which is more common among old people. I recommend this film to anyone who wants to see a heart-warming film.

A wonderful and sad love story

"Love at First Sight" is a romance about A story about an old woman and an old man who fall in love at a nursing home. One day, Arthur falls in love with Ruth at first sight. Mustering up her courage, Arthur calls out to Ruth. From then on, the two hit it off and spend happy time together. The depictions and images of her after he fell in love with her were very beautiful, and the viewers were able to really feel their love and pleasure. At first glance, it seems like a normal love romance story, but a sudden twist midway through turns it into a heartrending love story. Also, there are foreshadowing pasted throughout Arthur and Ruth's conversations, and I am very moved to see them unravel at the end. I found the way Arthur fall in love with her over and over again to be both endearing and a little sad at the same time.

Her name is Ruth. Arthur falls in love with Ruth, talks to her, and spends the day with her. At the end, he proposes marriage. The next day, the same thing happens again, and he falls in love with Ruth again. In fact, Arthur suffers from dementia and loses his memory after a day. The story is gripping, but if you don't understand he has dementia, the question arises, "Why did the same scene repeat itself?" Also, there are some difficult parts to understand because there are some scenes where characters dare not say something, for example, the scene where Ruth is reminiscing with her photo album. However, these methods will impress some viewers.

Mostly successful through the emotional impact

"Love at First Sight" is a 12-minute live action short film from 2010 and the star here is lead actor John Hurt, who actually died a couple days ago sadly. It was directed by Michael Davies and written by Julian Unthank and it is a British production in the English language of course. For both of them, it may be their most known work. The plot twist towards the end is probably the main reason to watch this one. With the reference about dementia/Alzheimer's, there is a striking similarity to "The Notebook" and you can add an ounce of "Amour" probably as well, again very fittingly with Riva's recent death too. Makes me a bit sad. Anyway, there are still somewhat uplifting and positive moments about this film, like how great it must be to fall in love every single day, at least for the male protagonist, not for the female too much I guess. The age gap of about a decade is visible, but it does not hurt the overall experience too much really. As a whole, thanks to the plot twist that I should have expected, but did not, it was a good watch and I give it a thumbs-up, even if it still does not deliver as much on the emotional scale as it tried to.

This movie is a romantic movie. It is common to cast young men and women if it were to depict the typical pure love. However, this short film stands out because it chose an elderly couple. My simple impression is that I envied a life where one could experience love, at first sight, every day. When I first watched it, I didn't realize it depicted dementia. However, upon rewatching after understanding that it portrays dementia, I feel that if Ruth were asked to get married every day, it would be tough for her. The use of similar scenes at the beginning and end cleverly emphasizes the importance of emotions and memories.

Furthermore, I initially didn't realize that it portrayed dementia. Still, after understanding that Arthur had dementia, I could comprehend the subtle hints at dementia in the later part of the movie, especially in the scene where Ruth looks outside from the second floor. One point that leaves me curious is the brief side story involving Mark in the care facility. I wonder about the intention behind introducing Mark's scene and what effect it aims to have on the audience as part of the movie.

romantic and touching

Arthur lives in a care home and has dementia. He loves Ruth at first sight every day, but he doesn't know she is his wife. Although Ruth feels sad because of his dementia, Ruth enjoys spending time with Arthur.

At first, I felt that this movie is romantic and touching. I want them to live happily. His appearance is young, so his problem is depicted in contrast to what he looks like. However, there are some points that I can't understand. I wonder if he forgets his wife every day but remembers his friend's name every day. I feel this setting is unnatural, and reality is impaired. I don't know the necessity of the young caregiver. I feel the scene related to him is the element of comedy. I want to know how this scene connects to the overall theme.

"Love at the first Sight" is a very good and heartwarming short film. The main character is Arthur who spends his life in a nursing home. One morning, he sees a woman who is reading a book near the window and falls in love soon. The woman's name is Ruth. Arthur talks to Ruth, and she speaks back kindly. After that, they take a walk in the garden, dance together, and talk a lot of things like Ruth's ex-husband. When they have to say goodbye, Arthur asks her to marry. He says that he doesn't feel like they've met for the first time. And Ruth accepts that.

However, we, the audience see the same scene twice after that. The same morning that Arthur falls in love Ruth. That means, actually, Arthur loses his memory every day. In addition, she was his wife and forgets about her. However, he falls in love her everyday even though he doesn't remember her. The story is a little bit simple, but the act and the face of actors is very good. Therefore, we can get emotionally involved with the characters. We can understand that love has a very strong power beyond the body.
