It's been a while since I posted such a peculiar, off-world news piece, but having seen Evian's new advert - and with Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 just weeks away from its global release - I thought this was needed.
In recent years the Evian brand, owned by the French Multinational group Danone, has become synonymous with dancing babies. In 2009, the company launched the first of what was to become a series of funky, baby-infused dance commercials..and what better way to start than with The Sugarhill Gang's Rapper's Delight :
Since then, Evian has invested much time and effort into their 'Baby and Me' advertising campaign, with each ad featuring a new and exciting dance-theme whilst harking back to its origins. However, in their latest post Evian has...quite simply...outdone themselves.

French water giant Evian and Betc Paris have released a short film as part of a marketing push for their 'live young' philosophy.
The two-minute film focuses on Spider-Man, who sees a reflection of his baby self.
The video, which is a follow-up to Evian's Baby and Me commercial, sees the superhero dance with his younger self and get crafty with his web talents, before escaping the presence of police.
"Spider-Man is a universal icon and an essential figure in popular culture," Evian's global brand marketing manager Elsa De Guzman shared.
"He is an approachable superhero, and one through whom you can reconnect with your childhood. We soon realised the potential for celebration that goes with this idea of the encounter between Spider-Man and his inner baby.
"The film expresses Evian's live young philosophy; the idea that youth is not a matter of age, but your attitude to life."

The television landscape, particularly in recent years, is filled with shows that television critics adored and championed, yet which never managed to parlay critical acclaim into commercial success. One such show was the ABC Family series Bunheads; the latest effort from Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino found itself cancelled earlier this year due to low ratings, despite numerous rallies from viewers and fans of the show. As a last hurrah, numerous key members of the show, including Amy Sherman-Palladino, choreographer Marguerite Derricks, and castmembers such as Bailey Buntain and Julia Goldani Telles got together to perform a final dance, set to Blues for Baby and Me by Elton John. The full performance can be seen below.
