I swear I had read other reviews for this a while back. Anyways I had forgotten about it and came across it last night and decided to watch. Short episodes( like 24 minutes that go by super fast. I was still up at 2:15am thinking should I watch just one more. It's about a group of friends that play those triva games at pubs. The one guy's obsessed to the point it ruins his relationships but that changes. It's funny but not drop dead funny. I was looking for Irish series to watch and turned off 2 and kept on with this one. Those familiar with Redrock with recognize Podge. The cast are all excellent and it's a fun little quirky show that I will finish tonight. I mostly watch thriller/ crime stuff but if you'e into Irish- UK stuff I'd give it a go.

Starts great then goes downhill

This starts strong but loses its way. I'd give season one an eight and maybe a five to the second. The actors do a great job but the writing is all over the place in the second season.

The show starts as an ensemble cast show but by the second season has almost completely shifted focus to the least likeable character. To make things worse while the first season hinted at the viewer learning more of this characters background so that we could understand, relate to him, and make him more likeable, they went the other way and just made him worse in every scene he's in.

One of the main characters disappears without mention in the second season as if she never existed. The characters are put into new relationships and situations in the second season but every one of them is depressing and negative. It feels like the writers were trying to set the show up for a third season to resolve some of the problems the characters were facing but the show seems to have been cancelled before that could happen.

Love it

But I want more! It's kind like Rev or Uncle and it's so charming. You're rooting for every character. I wanted good things to happen for them all. I want season 3! Bring it back.

What happened??

The first season was such a wonderful, quirky show. Lawrence was struggling but we understood him and rooted for him all the time. We could relate to all of the characters in different ways. So much compassion. Second season is constant stress and awkwardness. I couldn't keep watching Lawrence trying so hard and being humiliated everywhere he turned. He just wanted to do his best with Molly. The writers ruined a show fun of wonderful actors and a lost storyline. We barely saw the others. I knew the show ended after season 2 and I expected to be so disappointed but I was relieved. I don't unstated any or had to get so uncomfortable.
