Not Len's best
continuumx25 January 2022
I am a Len Kabasinki fan. I even joined his Patreon. That said, this is one of his worst movies. It doesn't have a story. It has two almost entirely unconnected stories that occasionally trip over each other. There's what I think is the main story about the Wendigo. Well, Wendigo is in the title anyway. This is interspersed with another story about some criminals trying to kill a guy in witness protection. The two are so disconnected that it feels like flipping back and forth between two different short movies and neither one of them really works. They sort of converge at the end but not really. It's more like everyone happens to end up at the same place when whatever happens happens. One thing I expect from a Len Kabasinski movie is good fight scenes. But the fight scenes here are just bad and boring. I never though I would say that about one of Len's movies but there it is. The fight at the end of Blood Prism is much better and that's not even an action movie. The ending is...I'm not sure what that was supposed to be really. It doesn't end so much as it splutters to a stop and falls on its face.

The usual shot on video indie nonsense
Leofwine_draca4 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
WENDIGO: BOUND BY BLOOD is a shot-on-video horror effort with thriller elements that aren't very well staged. The story is ostensibly about the titular beast with a taste for human flesh but in reality this is just the usual indie nonsense with a bunch of non-actors wandering around and achieving very little. There is some blood but not much and the snowbound locations make a nice change, but other than the sex and nudity this offers very little.

GUESS WHO'S COMING FOR DINNER?
nogodnomasters28 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The movie opens up showing us some "old film" and narration which summarized: Desperate times, desperate things happen, Native Americans, cannibalism, curse. Now you would think this would tie into the end of the film, instead it ties into every boring predictable scene with a host of bad actors, lousy characters, and horrible dialouge.

There is a place were the town folks eat, called "Dinor." It never has more than 4 people in there at a time, but plays a background track that sounds like 50 people are talking in the background. This is an annoying low budget film. The bar fight scene was comical as there is a group of MIBs there to cleanse the town.

Not really worth the view.

Parental Guide: F-bomb, sex, nudity.

Great Stuff

Warning: Spoilers
A really unusual offering from Killerwolf in that it was set in winter. Really creepy throughout with good advantage taken of the eeriness of the snow bound landscapes. There were several interweaving plots which made it complicated, but the director succeeded in bringing them together to keep us on the edge of our seats. Not too many special effects, and what there was was well done. No issues with production values which were sound throughout. I am sure that these flicks would be better on film, so it is a tribute to the skills of the cast and technical crew that they managed to entertain me enough that I wasn't distracted by the empty echo quality of video. Good acting throughout and all contributed solid performances. Carry on the good work.

Its A Spy,No Its A Horror,Nope Its a Hybrid piece of Snowy Goodness.

Starring: Brian Anthony. OKAY,It's cold when they made this flick and that's nice given this spring heat wave we are having. It's got some Zombie aka Wendigo jump to the gore violence and Then some really cool hit-man/spy/opposing governments approach to a lot of hand-to-hand and gun play. Very likable cast,Who had us believing especially B. A. and Cheyenne King.

Maybe a little confusing with plot devices,But enjoyable for sets, acting and those effects of violence.

Guns ****. Gore *****. Girls *****. So,See something for everyone. Comes out tomorrow,Enjoy.

Killer Wolf Masterpiece
tcoll3228 May 2011
Warning: Spoilers
We have before us the latest film from Len Kabasinski and Killer Wolf Films called Wendigo: Bound by Blood. First off a very necessary disclaimer. This Wendigo is not the Marvel comics white furred version of the Hulk famous for fighting the X'Men's Wolverine but instead is base solely on the native American legend of a malicious spirit capable of possessing bad people doing bad things making them do worse things. The film star Brian Anthony in his 3rd KWF film as a local sheriff having to investigate strange occurrence happening in his sleepy little PA town. Cheyenne King is the local doctor who is also drawn in by the Wendigo targeting some of her patients. On the side is a couple in witness protection being guarded by 2 US Marshalls and being chased by a a very highly skilled team of assassins to prevent them from testifying against a big crime boss. All of these myriad stories are about to collide with one another with a winner take all finale. Who will survive and who will fall prey to the ravening Wendigo? You'll have to see. This is a departure for KWF in that instead of being non-stop action there is actually a very suspenseful story driving the film. For fans of Len and KWF this is definitely worthy film in the library.

Not your typical KillerWolf film
Woodyanders26 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Writer/director Len Kabasinski takes a welcome and refreshing break from his usual more slam-bang approach to filmmaking with this enjoyable horror/action hybrid: The standard rapid-fire pace is substituted by a more deliberate pace, with a noted emphasis on a surprisingly grim tone and lots of effective shots of the bleak snow-covered wintry landscape. The scenes with the evil titular Indian spirit on the attack are potently gruesome stuff; a massacre of a whole family rates as the definite upsetting highlight (and extra points to Kabasinski for having the guts to bump off a little girl). The narrative proves to be pretty intricate as well; the main story centering on the investigation by small town Sheriff Craig (a solid and likable performance by Brian Anthony) into a series of grisly murders ties in with a subplot about a team of assassins out to kill a couple of mob informants which culminates in an exciting climactic confrontation between the cop and said assassins. The sound acting by the game cast helps a lot: Kabasinski does his customary sturdy double duty as ruthless and menacing head villain Warner, Cheyenne King contributes an appealingly earnest turn as the helpful Angeni Stonechild, and Melissa Scott brings plenty of engaging spark to her role as the feisty Karen. Of course, this movie still delivers the expected graphic gore, tasty female nudity (special props to the seriously hot Deanna Visalle as the deliciously naked distaff incarnation of the wendigo), and stirring action, but overall this picture displays Kabasinski's increasing growth and maturity as a reliable maker of entertaining B-flick fare.
