Ordinary courtroom drama...until it wasn't

For most of its running time, I was on the verge of writing this series off as a been-there, seen-that viewing option. Two unexpected developments at the end elevated this episode into the range of "let's see what else they've got", warranting further exploration.

So typical over-worked lawyer (insert any profession you want) fighting the good fight. However, I am extremely disappointed in the portrayal of the drug trafficker being portrayed as the victim. Regardless of the reasons she dd what she did she had a choice to go to the authorities. I am also disappointed in the portrayal of the police changing evidence to convict a man, making the authorities look like tyrants and evil people. There are better ways to tells these stories that do not make everything a conspiracy against "the little guy" by the government. I will give this another chance to see how it progresses. I may even watch all the seasons as I do like Brit sh telly very much.
