Football vs. Hockey and PC Scenes
BMS is currently my favorite Spike Series.

However, I cannot watch the Hockey episode and the Lacrosse episode.

The reason is the following:

Have you ever seen a Division 1 football player?

These are the most physical of specimens on earth, and their bodies are thoroughly trained because the skills and athletic movements that they need to engage produce the widest range of muscle development of any sport.

In that regard, the scene where a "MIDDLE LINEBACKER" is intimidated by a hockey player, who throws an ice skate at his head, and then the middle linebacker backs down like a coward would never happen in actual life. Middle linebackers are the meanest sons of b's to walk the planet, and they stand down to nobody. Can you imagine Brian Bosworth, Ray Lewis, or Dick Butkus backing down from a hockey player?

There is another scene where the football coach, born and raised in New Jersey (as part of the character's BMS bio) is told to "never fight a hockey coach." Well, listen, anybody from NJ NEVER backs down from a fight, especially a football coach, who likely played football at least to the college level, and who very likely played HS Football AND wrestled, NJ is a top wrestling and football state, and Marty Daniels, the character, is from NJ.

So this episode implies that football players are weak, and have no fighting ability, which is ridiculous and falsely spreads misnomers regarding football players.

This "football player as a wuss" theme also raises its' head during the LAX, lacrosse episode. Sure, some lacrosse players are big and it is a rough sport, but again, the football athlete is orders of magnitude more developed, with extraordinary strength, almost super human.

Wrestlers come the closest in terms of muscular development and attitude, and they do have an advantage because they are highly skilled in a martial art, which wrestling truly is. However, most football players, or a significant number at the very least, wrestled in HS or college. Ray Lewis was 2x Florida state wrestling champ. Teddy Bruski wrestled, as did many other college and NFL football players.

Still, overall, because of pure size and strength (e.g., bench press 700-800 pounds, bench 225 40-50 reps, squat over 1000lbs) football players just cannot be messed with by hockey players or lacrosse players.

Other than these two episodes, BMS is my favorite series of all time. I wish the powers that be would bring it back!
