- Young Saleem (Darsheel Safary) is grapped at the head and then shoved by his putative father Ahmed Sinai (Ronit Roy) after having told him that he has heard voices in his head. Saleem then falls on the stairs behind him.

- Shiva (Siddharth) puts a barrel in the mouth of gagged and beatened up Saleem Sinai (Satya Bhabha) threatening to pull the trigger in any instant after Saleem has told him that they have been switched as babies. When Saleem adds that thus the life of Shiva has been stolen, Shiva hauls out the pistol and aims it at Saleem. Then he hits Saleem once in the face with the handel of the pistol.
