Proof that some people are quite stupid
Ekul10217 April 2017
People complain about the show being one sided, but the fact is, those animals the show features are wild, not domesticated, and ready to kill because of their nature and instinct. Several of the episodes would feature all creature from snakes to tigers with the exception of aquatic fishes. The show is now available on iTunes for anybody wanting to watch it but know that the show is not just for entertainment, but a good lesson that these animals will always be wild and regardless of feelings, have the potential to kill. And sadly, the animal pays the price for being wild while the stupid humans either survives and etc.

I was rooting for the animals...honestly. ALL of them!

This doc was basically about stupid humans (all I suspect with some social or mental health disorders in that they were obsessed with and collected/hoarded violent animals). These wild animals, as expected, either bit them, attacked others, or mauled them to death...and I'd be lying if I said I wasnt cheering on the animals!! The deep seated ignorance of these human beings to think they had a "connection" with a wild untamed creature...made this series interesting. The law of averages states IF you live in a fantasy world where wild animals will never hurt you...you get what you deserve.

Human arrogance can be fatal
monikamarie7 June 2021
If these people had received the mental health care they desperately needed, they might still be alive. A disturbed young woman who believes that her 'pet' gaboon viper 'cares about' her is clearly not well. It's horrible that the victims' loved ones have to live with the traumatic aftermath.

I like that the program places the blame squarely where it belongs - with the arrogant humans who believe that they have some spiritual connection with wild animals who belong in the wild - not trailer parts or studio apartments. (If these folks were actually animal lovers, they would never try to keep them as 'pets.') Hopefully, the stories told will help prevent this dangerous (and idiotic) behavior.

Why!? Why would you do that!?
thuffman-0834324 November 2020
I very rarely watch animal planet these days, as most of the current programs have little to nothing to do with animals. But, this is one of very few that I actually watch. It's interesting, and also serves as a cautionary tale against exotic pet ownership. Besides, I can't understand for the life of me why some people think that having a tiger or hyena or chimpanzee as a pet is completely normal! It brings up several notorious cases, such as Travis the Chimpanzee and the animal escape in Zanesville. This show always tells the stories of how these owners got seriously injured or even killed because of their decisions. And I can't believe there are people who believe that this show is one sided! If you own venomous snakes, big cats, or great apes, you're just ASKING for trouble! These animals are not suited to be pets. And, the animal is always killed by these people's stupidity. So, while it's not great, it's still one of the few watchable shows on modern animal planet.

Interesting but not the best

It's a very interesting show and its fascinating to see the people who live with these potentially deadly animals. However it's not the most well made show on television. There is not that much else to say it's a cool show to watch.

This show is so wrong

Warning: Spoilers
Why would anyone in the animal industry take part in this movie if they didn't have something to gain from it, I think this is the lowest a person could get, to take part in continuing dogging a dead person and never letting those animals rest in peace, Animal Plant, shame on you, all of you who took part in this movie, I am shocked. The people of the world, Your fools for watching actors, dress up like slobs and make mock up houses make people look like we all live like slobs. but worse yet support such crap........... So now we set in shock one more week and ask ourselves, just who the hell took part in what happened in Ohio to jump in and make this movie. This is your wake up call as to who is out to shut you down and who is not. Any real owner that cared about your rights would have said no to taking part of this show.
