Fascinating episode
Paularoc31 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
An exciting episode that starts with the artifact caused deaths of three students in Egypt and the mysterious illness of Mrs. Frederic. Pete, Myka and H.G. go to Egypt where they are joined by Regent Valda to search for the long lost Warehouse 2. As they search, Mrs. Frederic's health condition becomes increasingly dire and Dr. Calder arrives to monitor it. There are really good special effects (even though one of best ones was lifted right out of National Treasure and previously an Indiana Jones) and the tension is maintained throughout. No humor or witty dialog in this episode but that's appropriate to the story line. This was an excellent episode, although I did find the ending not only unexpected but kind of disappointing. But it certainly does move the series in a new direction.

The rediscovery of Warehouse 2
Tweekums31 October 2018
As this episode opens we see three American students in Alexandria; one of them suddenly feels very thirsty before dehydrating and dying as the others watch... the same happens to them moments later. At the same Mrs Fredrick collapses and utters a phrase in ancient Egyptian. Further clues suggest that the students had somehow stumbled on the long lost Warehouse 2. Reactivated it has connected with the caretaker of Warehouse 13, Mrs Fredrick, and if it isn't shut down it could kill her with dire consequences for Warehouse 13. Pete, Myka and HG head to Egypt and meet Regent Benedict Valda and head to the site of Warehouse 2. Before they can shut it down they must get past three potentially deadly tests. Back at Warehouse 13 preparations are made in case they should fail.

This episode was a lot of fun with plenty of exciting scenes and solid character development. We also learn more about the nature of the Warehouses and rules that apply to those who work there. The scenes in Egypt feature nice nods to the likes of 'Indiana Jones' and more specifically 'Lara Croft'... HG dresses like the latter believing that is the look for modern English archaeologists! There are a couple surprises, one quite tragic and one that appears to set things up for the season finale. The cast does a fine job; as well as the regulars Mark Shepherd impresses as Valda and Lindsay Wagner makes a welcome second appearance as Dr Vanessa Calder. Overall a superior episode of this enjoyable series.
