This movie is bad

Krampus the Return (2022) is currently available on Tubi. The storyline follows a young lady who returns home where her brother disappeared when she was a kid. She discovers her long lost father was obsessed with a creature known as Krampus and believed he was responsible for her brothers disappearance. Will the sister's research lead to the return of Krampus?

This movie is directed by David Gregory (Curse of Bloody Mary) and stars Natasha Rose Mills (Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey), Amber Doig-Thorne (Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey), Dan Robins (Amityville Scarecrow 2) and Stephen Staley (Nutcracker Massacre).

This movie is bad. The voice used for the opening narration and Krampus was terrible. The costumes were not good and the kills were an action pose by Krampus, a scream and a cutaway scene. No good kills or gore to be found. The acting is average outside of the book reading scene which was awkward and didn't feel natural. That sequence was cheesy. There were no redeeming aspects to this picture.

Overall, this is a bad addition to the horror genre and Krampus series that really isn't worth your time. I'd score this a 2.5-3/10 and recommend skipping it.

What the...

Warning: Spoilers
This movie. Holy crap. I'm pretty sure this was made by a high school drama class. The scenes when they're wrestling with Krampus are something to behold. Unbelievably bad. They move so slow it's truly funny. "Oh no. Here he comes." *Krampus approaches slowly* "nooooooooooo..." That's pretty much the movie. Then some more stuff happens or whatever and then the two remaining girls bury all their friends like it's no big deal. Oh, we do this all the time. And then the end. Holy crap. I guess the main character went nuts? Knew what Krampus was going to do? They're on the same side? What? If you can't sleep, watch this movie.

What the hell

Warning: Spoilers
This is the most atrocious krampus movie I have ever watched. Krampus just looks cheap and the story line isn't really good. The costume of krampus was basically a trench coat, belt, and some awful looking jelly like hands. The only thing that was interesting was Lisa's boyfriend was cheating on her with her friend. This all around is not a good watch, everything just looked painfully fake. No effort in the costume, the blood, the panic. The acting seems as if they are reading off a script the entire time. I highly do not recommend watching this movie if you love krampus and the lord behind him. Hopefully, there will be better krampus movies coming out in the near future.

Here's a NON-CGI Krampus, finally.

The journey for a good Krampus movie is an ongoing holiday tradition in my house. The big budget Krampus movie is worth watching, which I do pretty much every year.

And then there are so many atrocious Krampus movies with the worst acting and an even worse CGI Krampus. They are all terrible and not even watchable in a Sharknado type of way.

BUT-Now we finally have a Krampus in a rubber suit! It's a pretty good looking rubber suit, all things considered. But to be honest, it could be terrible and I would still like it better than the CGI Krampus. Krampuses. Krampi?

Is this movie cheap and bad? Well, yes. But is it garbage? Well...no.

I actually sort of enjoyed the characters in a high school play type of way. And yes, I liked Krampus. He talks in this one. And no, his mouth doesn't move. Lol. And when the camera zooms in on his hands, you can see the jiggly rubber suit in hd.

So does that sound like something you want to watch? If it does, you will enjoy this Krampus more than any of the last 15 or so since the big budget Krampus from 2015. And that film is a PG-13 film, whereas this one at least has syrupy blood and not the worst character conflict I've ever seen. In fact, at one point I was sort of caught off guard when someone interrupted the movie and I found myself backing it up by a couple of minutes so I could hear the characters' conversation. Yeah, I actually did that. Unironically.

So skip the hordes of pretender Krampus movies, and if you only watch one Krampus version this holiday season...

Well, honestly, in that case Krampus (2015).

But if you have seen that one a bunch of times or are in the mood for two (!) Krampus movies this holiday season....

Check this one out.

I kind of liked it.
