Violence & Gore

  • Not quite graphically depicted, but still very disturbing.

Profanity

  • Constant use of f**k, s**t, everything under the sun...

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Debauchery is a prominent theme in the film, so drug use is constantly present, although the prevalence reduces toward the end as the plot goes in a different direction.
  • Characters snort cocaine, smoke cigarettes/cigars, smoke pot, pop pills and drink constantly.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Suicide becomes a highly prevalent theme in the second half of the film. A highly depressed character, having felt guilt over killing his sister and his lover in a car accident while under the influence, several years ago, hangs himself. A man agrees to a mercy killing but when the friend attempts to suffocate him with a pillow, he fights back and screams showing that he perhaps still has a will to live. A man injects himself with an overdose of a sedative and sees visions of his past as he slumps back and his eyes begin to shut. A man jumps off a cliff, plunging into the ocean with a 300ft drop.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A character commits suicide by injecting himself with an overdose of some sort of sedative.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Suicide note content: "25 years from now, if we can't remember what this feels like, and we have forgotten this beautiful moment. Who we said we'd become, our promise to each other, swearing to and by our friends, we will never forget. See this life, our life, the one we want to live, and the men we want to be and will be. To forget this feeling is to fail. And if we forget it, we'll die as one. -- Richard Timmy Jonathan Ron"
  • The 2nd half takes an intense turn and suicide becomes a major part of the film. Anybody who has dealt with these issues or had a loved one who was a victim will be highly uncomfortable.
