Amelia's dead eye twitches.
It's been a long time: (1) since Baby Samuel appeared or receives mention. Is anyone taking care of him? Did he die? (2) since the fate of Paula's abducted mother has been addressed. Is she alive or dead or held as a sex slave somewhere? (3) since conditions at the front gate have been shown. This episode mentions outside pressures bearing down on the school's situation from parents kept incommunicado from their offspring; yet (possibly due to keeping down production costs), there are no scenes to back up WHAT is happening. Instead of scenes to help support the tension, the story veers into Paula and Evelyn providing comedy relief by, yet again (ad nauseam), releasing their assertive actions upon misunderstandings (sometimes sexual, sometime dangerous to themselves or others). (Not since Dr. Smith in Lost in Space have characters been perpetually, criminally and magnificently wrong at every turn.)
