Although some sources credit Margery Wilson as Virginia, her participation in this film is doubtful.
The film was partially shot on location in the Mojave desert. The story of the film was adapted from "The Lark" written by Mary Robert Rinehart.
The airplane wing walking sequences were performed by Cherie May (real name was Elizabeth Jordan from Santa Ana, CA) as well as the airplane to ground pickup sequence with stunt performer White Hvam. Cherie also was a stunt performer in Wings 1927 and King Kong 1933.
Viola Dana was originally considered for the lead role in the film.
