Warning: Spoilers
(S4. E9) My Live Reaction / Review for True Blood Season 4 Episode 9 ''Let's Get Out of Here''. Episode 8 was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Jessica is miserable, she deserves it. Lafayette is possessed, that's not good. Sookie has one crazy dream with Bill and Eric. Wow the whole thing with Mavis and her baby was so bad, ridiculous. Antonia is very powerful. Jason and Jessica having sex? Jason is the worse friend on the planet, how can he do this to Hoyt? Wow what was that ending? Absolute chaos. Overall this episode was pretty good, my rating... is... 8.8/10.

True Blood – Lafayette = Digestible horror fan candy

Dear reader,

I would like to apologize for rating and criticizing Spellbound so badly. The poor thing didn't deserve such treatment… Wrong letter ! The previous installment reached the bottom of the barrel and I'm not surprised of reading True Blood has jumped the shark. However there was one thing that I should have mentioned. Indeed Jessica's dream was disturbing and Jim Parrack really impressed me as Hoyt. His talent made me realize how much his character and the triangle he forms with her and Jason has potential. In fact he's one of the only reasons that convinced me to go back to the show after a two weeks hiatus. My only worry was Lafayette's dead boring arc but as a proud member of the Scooby Gang about to enter a wood infested by vampires my stick was sharpen and ready to strike ! Well it was only my remote actually but zapping all his scenes couldn't have been more entertaining. Why didn't I think about it sooner ? I strongly recommend all you guys to do the same because sadly it represents 25% of the story. An other disappointing element was Sookie's dream. Jessica's one was mind blowing because we didn't see it coming. Here it was fan service for the viewers who worship Anna Paquin in red lingerie. As for Hoyt don't expect a round 3 with Jessica or Jason. Cocorico ? No, no ! Still there were some things that prevented this episode from acting like a sleeping pill. First you should be surprised by what Alcide's girlfriend does. In fact their arc is one of the strongest and I really enjoyed how it collided with an other. Second even if I still find the silver chains ridiculous Bill's speech at the festival about history and the eternal battle between good and evil was smart. There was something very dark and inspiring about his words, reminiscent of the Norse mythology. Third the calm after the storm, Antonia and her apprentices, could have been better but Tara's scene was respectful of her tortured character development so far. Fourth and last I loved Sam and his girlfriend. The little girl was cute as a little bunny, his shapeshifting skill was nicely used and their arc was quite refreshing in general. But the best part was definitely the dual editing featuring his brother !

To sum things up I've found the magic potion to finally digest True Blood. Zap ! Blast ! Wizz ! Adjust your media player speed and voilà ! No more zombie baby voodoo paranormal stuff.

Bloody yours,
