The closing credits include a memorial to Julio Villamariona Garcia. Mr. Garcia was a security guard who was killed in a freak accident on the CBS Productions NCIS site.
Ducky and Palmer walk into Autopsy to find Gibbs sleeping on a table using a package of paper towels as a pillow. This is a direct reference to the pilot episode, "Yankee White," in which an impatient Gibbs does the same after Ducky suggests that he catch up on sleep while he performs an autopsy.
The episode deals with the fictional European country of "Belgravia". In real-life, Belgravia is an affluent district in Central London. "Belgravia is noted for its very expensive residential properties; it is one of the wealthiest districts in the world." The district was developed and originally owned by Richard Grosvenor, 2nd Marquess of Westminster (1795-1869). It is still partially owned by his heirs.
