Good movie deserves higher rating

It is very surprising that this movie has a lower rating. It is actually a very good movie. The story is good and the acting is very good. All of the actors are new to me with the exception of one who acted in days of glory another good movie.

Would recommend anyone who likes good movies to watch this disregarding the current low rating. You would not be disappointed. It keeps you thinking and at the edge of your seat for most of the movie. This is not a movie that you can watch and easily predict the ending. To think that I almost did not watch this movie because the rating was a little low for me. Wow was I surprised. This is a movie of intrigue, treachery, action and deception. The list could go on.

One thing kept bothering me...

I didn't know anything about this movie before I watched it. I just took a chance on it. I agree with other reviewers in that the scenery was a big part of the movie's attraction. There were several unpredictable twists and turns to the plot, and I thought it was pretty well acted, as other reviewers have reported. One thing really kept bothering me, I guess because I helped raise several children of my own. And that was, wouldn't that baby get fussy after not having been fed? It must have been at least, what, 48 hours? Well, think about it. I'm just saying. I put it down as a possible spoiler, because, really, I think the less you know about this movie before seeing it, the more entertained you will be. I enjoyed it despite that one nagging question.

Great story

I have no idea why this is rated so low. It's not earth-shattering but it's definitely worth watching. The acting is patchy but not the worst I've seen and the story itself is riveting. In the hands of a more skilled director, with better pacing, more suspense and better actors I think this would have been a top rater. But even so, the story and production is better than average and deserves to be seen. Awesome setting, great twists and turns, some very good action scenes. My biggest issue was with the fact that it was hard to like any of the characters which kills the suspense factor - if you don't like 'em you don't care what happens to them LOL. They needed to develop the characters more and at least make them sympathetic on some level. The only one they really succeeded in doing that with is Saleh but I never got the sense that he was in danger so there was no suspense around him either. Everyone else (except the baby) was fair game to me :) Brilliant plot, that really should have more praise, and nice acting from Roschdy Zem & the baby. :D

Better then I expected!

I did not expect much from this film, but I received a lot. I really do not think this film should of been rated the way it was so low rated.

First of all it has all the good scenery film of this type needs to have. I do not know is it possible to make another film in Marocco again like this, because of the political trouble there. I am glad we got to see all the good scenery which was so well depicted in this film.

Plot is very dynamic and interesting with a lot of twists and turns this type of film needs to have. I really liked those changes and twists and turns.

Acting was very good, actors tried their best.

All in all I recommend that you see this film.

"Sorry we ever met"

The first half-hour or so is intentionally confusing and rather draggy, but all that's going on becomes apparent throughout the rest of the film, which is well-produced with good, though not great, acting. A film without heroes, COLLISION may be a bit too violent, gory, and grim for some tastes. It's also a bit too humorless and slow-moving to be called a "thriller." Still, the way it shows how the different circles of people and the supposed allies within the circles conspire and are all at odds with each and every other is thought-provoking. The whole message seems to be that "No one wins--or if anyone does, it's the wrong people in the wrong ways--when people conspire and connive over money, power, 'love,' etc." COLLISION also takes some risks in the way its entanglements untangle at the disheartening but strangely fitting end. As unsettling as it may be, this film is anything but predictable.

RANDOM FILMS PART 7 Now, what can I say about Collision? Shall I mention it was originally called 'Intersections'? I'm sensing a theme here...

Should I talk about the fact that no-one can trust each other? Seriously, this is House Of Cards levels of deception...

I could prattle on about how there isn't a decent woman to be found in the movie (apart from right at the end)?

On the same topic, how about the underlying sexist message that females are only after one thing? (Clue: It start with M and rhymes with funny, though they're not spelt the same, unless you're dyslexic. )

There's a REALLY good car cra... Oh, you already guessed that by looking at the title. Silly me.

Er... The desert looks good at this time of year? Seriously folks, I'm struggling here. I've seen ALL this before... The backstabbing, the artificial tension, the stupid decisions, the frenetic last few minutes... Only, done much better.

Wondering why you've never heard of this film? Wonder no longer. 5/10

There's ample mystery and intrigue here to stoke interest right to the end. Grillo's great again, accompanied by convincing performances all around, and lots of great twists and turns in a story that never feels telegraphed or sloppily contrived. Loved every minute of it!

Whats up with the 10/10 rating for this movie? the characters and movie feel as shallow as the water in the desert. Could have been a good movie with some depth to the acting and actors and.. well all. Not a bad script if it would have been exicuted a bit differently. I just didn't care for any of the characters.. and then it started to feel pointless. I almost turned it off even though I just had 15 minutes left of the ending. culdn´t care less. No character to care for at all.. !

I saw it all.. exciting and very nice scenario landscape in the dessert.

But the story is veryyy.. , how can I describe it.. It is to elaborate.. impossible . I found that quite cheap.. it started very good. But to be fair.. its not that bad.. and I saw the whole movie. You just want to know the plot😉

Superb Movie

From the get go this movie captivates your attention and the action and settings are very realistic. As the plot unfolds it gets more and more interesting and I can tell you there are many twists and turns even at the last minute. The actors impressed me as I have never seen any of them in movies before. At that even the middle eastern actors were very good.I was very much surprised by the previous rating which does not reflect the level of entertainment we have with this movie. So please if you want to be at the edge of your seat I urge you to watch this great action movie and get back here and write your review.You will not be disappointed.

Enjoyable diversion

Unlikely mix of believable characters get down and dirty after vehicles collide in the deserts of Morocco. Once their dirty little secrets are exposed it's easy to see why each character acts the way they do in the story, even if you don't relate. Just the right amount of 'twistiness' to keep the film interesting without being overbearing. For me it was a satisfying diversion, not a masterpiece, light on the breathtaking scenery and culture typical of exotic locales.

As entertaining as camel dung

All the phony reviews won't help - this garbage isn't even as entertaining as watching a heap of camel dung blistering under a hot desert sun.

A lady wants to kill her hubby and for some reason thinks it is a good idea to do so on a sahara vacation.

But of course her best laid plans to simply shoot her hubby go terrible wrong and that's when she probably thought "Hey being in the sahara and all why don't I earn some cash with some product placement and show my great SUV from all angles"

That's when she must have stumbled upon a camp of bedouins she hired on the spot as a film crew

"Guys it doesn't matter that you don't have any idea how to shoot a good movie and that you have no talent what so ever - just keep my SUV inside the frame."

And that is what this "movie" is really all about - some zero-talent guys and gals making a whole lot of camel dung in the desert.

Skip this and trust the negative ratings - they are well deserved.

Pleasantly surprised.

And all the protagonists do exactly that, wherever it may lead them.

I wish this movie was better thought out. Some events are just so far fetched, although there is a line that leads to them. Still far fetched. Could have been done better. Otherwise a good enough evening watch if you have nothing better to do.

Collision (Intersections) High Rolling Low Lifers Make For Unrelenting Desert Nastieness

If you happen to be one of those viewers who can like a movie that's overflowing with despicable people, doing despicable things - with a script that's so convoluted it keeps falling over its own threads - then you might just see what a handful of viewers have jumped up and down about. Writer/director David Marconi seems to have left it 20 years too late to try a comeback. His grotty script makes for an over-burdened grueling 'entertainment' experience.

After an impressive opening in the Moroccan desert the only things that keep this alive are: impressive Cinematography by Zuric born Thomas Hardmeier - a music score by Robert Horowitz, that deserves to grace a far better movie. Some performances are OK but with characters so unrelentingly nasty it's difficult to muster the effort needed in your brain to go the distance - brief overview: she's setting him up for murder on their honeymoon (?) but wait, seems he's also setting her up...hang on...their'e all setting each other up in revenge for the death of whats-is name, while whosie-majig is, is...who isn't doing what to who!. While with more restraint it might have been so much better - only those who enjoy Tarantino type empty, SUPER ugly characters could be fooled into thinking this worth staying with.

Overall the movie was entertaining and interesting in particular as to how the character's motives surfaced and the degree where their lives later intertwined.

When I saw the trailer, I told myself that it has to be a good movie, and the presence of Frank Grillo was also one of the main reasons, he' one of my favorite actors.

After the movie, I was really disappointed, there was only two minutes of action the the whole movie, and these two were on the trailer to attract people. The story is incredibly slow and predictable, it was quite boring, I almost fall asleep !! The acting was awful, except Frank. However, the idea of characters connected between them was a interesting idea, but the film maker didn't do well

En conclusion, only watch this movie, if there's really nothing else interesting

OK it is not a terrible movie and watchable to some level but definitely not a nice movie...

Frank Grillo as Scot and Roschdy Zem as Saleh are the performances worth watching not because they are acting award winners but because the others are not acting good.

As the story goes everybody connecting to each other somehow is not a good idea so I don't understand why people praise this movie for this...Actually it makes the movie predictable and ''one of those movies''..

My conclusion is watch this movie only if you don't have another movie to watch..

By the way I watched this movie under the name '' Intersections'' but when I came to IMDb to read the reviews about it then I found out it has another name ''Collision''..

Worth watching

There is no 3D. No big explosions. No dwarfs with hairy feet. What there is is a very credible attempt at making a movie with thought and twists and doesn't pander to the standard ending normally required by tinseltown.

Its a movie where the value is in the telling of the story. We all knew how Titanic would end but we watched it just the same. This movie must have had the same budget as the Titanic crew spent on coffee.

I didn't recognise any of the actors nor the locations, other than generic desert. Perhaps that added a level of freshness.

If you want to watch a movie that lacks that final coat of Hollywood polish but can still be appreciated then this for you.

Could have been better....

Nicely filmed, some good acting, but a story with too many holes in the plot. Also felt that most of the events were unbelievable. I think it had the potential to be a much better movie. It's watchable, but going in, don't worry about the story too much. It's a little more likeable that way.

good twists and turns a little to long winded in places. there was a spark missin from the story line something to grip Ur attention could have done with some subtitles as there was a few different languages but worth watchin if u have a spare hour or so. the acting wasn't good but wasn't really bad gave it a 4 as it took ages to start then quickly ended not sure whats up with the 2 titles collision / intersection ? either 1 or the other bit confusing havin both . am running out of things to put as have to write 10 line or more . like to see more of charlie bewley too as he was the hottest thing on there hope to see more of him

Although the film has some very good moments, it is overall too confusing with too many twists, and simply not credible. Most of the characters are more annoying than interesting. The accident scene is spectacular!!!

First of all, seeing the rating, I thought the film would be average, but when I actually saw it, i was impressed. It's definitely underrated. The film has it all - unpredictable plot, good acting, interesting characters, suspenseful moments etc. The actors were unknown to me, but they did a very good job. Although the film was shot pretty much in one or two locations, it didn't get boring because of the intriguing plot. Along the way, you learn more and more things about the characters and it's quite interesting to follow their story. I really don't know why this is such a little-known film. It was pretty intense from the beginning and I definitely recommend it to all drama/thriller fans.
