A huge disappointment

Warning: Spoilers
Watching the trailer for this film i was eager to go to the cinema hoping to see an amusing and quite interesting film. However, i was so deceived by the trailer. There was nothing in this film that deserves your time. The plot is so poor, the characters are artificial and badly developed and i was not able to see any purpose of all this. The authors obviously wanted to mix many genres, from fairy tale, adventure, comedy, horror, but in my opinion they failed at every aspect. As a matter of fact, the only character that holds the film interesting in some way, Nikola Pejakovic as policeman Zika, was removed from the story at a half of the film. After that, we were left alone with boring, predictable dialogues with no meaning. The master of this genre is Tim Burton, but it is very, very hard to be on his trail or to try to copy his vision. It is not about financial resources, it is all about idea which misses in this case.

Very dumb

Warning: Spoilers
The movie is supposed to be some sort of horror movie, but it does not come off as a horror movie. It comes off as dumb, because there is nothing even remotely scary to be seen. The ending is especially dumb because at the end you know that "Pavle" is "Mane" only because they have the same necklace. Try to avoid it.

Good film for filmfans

Warning: Spoilers
What is obvious for this film is that it is not a comedy, although it has some elements of it. It is not a horror, though you may find some elements of it. It is not NOIR, though some would find it's elements in first part of the film. Yet high quality picture, well organized intro, and transitions of sequences tell us, that such impression of imperfection on all segments was done on purpose to disturb the viewer. Why so? Because it is not a classic film you may see every day. It is quite obvious anti-film, which goes away from every direction you may want to put it. Just when you think you know the stream it is going on, it surprises you, like it was accidental. My favorite scene is when it is chase situation, and somewhere up hills, in the middle of nowhere, runners run on a tractor (aprox 20 miles per an hour speed) and chasers are catching up with small motor-bike which goes 30 miles per an hour most. Yet, the scene pretend to be serious. It was hilarious. I could not stop laughing. Really rare film that could pull it out of me. Yet, the scene was made to be anti-humorous. This was additional pressure to laugh. Well, if you are film fan, you may catch the meaning of sequences, what the director want to tell, and if you are an average consumer, film would not make a single trill. That was and idea of making it, I think, and they did it. It was critics of every action movie that was ever produced, in subtext.

Guys, if you are watching this, I think you did remarkable thing. Thank you. I was the only one in the cinema that understood the point, yet I know how it is hard to make a good art these days when all around you can see only commercial this, best-selling that... Narrow people expect industrial film with no brain activity when watch, except the light motive WHO'S KILLER NOW? This film is about films, no doubt.
