Great ending for the first year .. show just gets better

Trouble with a lot of high concept shows is that they start out well and then implode. Or to survive they have to mess with the viewer's head (see my review of ONCE UPON A TIME, which should be more correctly called THE NEVERENDING STORY ARC). This show started out fun .. and got to be ... more fun. Ksenia Solo deserved her Gemini -- the best sidekick since ... well I don't know, I was going to say Tonto, but I never used jpegs of Tonto as wallpaper, so that is likely a bad example. One suspects there is some "WKRP IN CINCINNATI Syndrome" at work here, where the second lead probably gets more fan mail, tweets, twitters and Facebook hits than the star. The writing in this episode is superb, reminds one of King's THE SHINING but on steroids. And as Bo's mother, Inga Cadranel seems to be channelling Kim Cattrall from Sex in the City, making every line a zinger and drenching it in irony. The popularity of this show is justified.
