That Lankin sweater

Warning: Spoilers
Ray is seen with the twins jogging in a park. The overweight Darby and Damon show signs of not being up to exercising, which causes their father to want to try helping slim down. Darby is vocal into questioning Ray about something that had been bothering her: would their father had been friendly to them if he was going to school with them? She guesses, he would not.

Tanya finds she is being downsized by horny Patty, the girl she tried to interest in being a client. Patty is now her boss and offers her a kind of deal in telling her she would increase her hours if she would get her a free session with Ray. Tanya is horrified because she realizes it will not fly when she tries to sell the idea to Ray. When they meet, he tells her point blank he would not even consider it. Tanya tries to level with Ray and tells her about her job problems.

Jessica and Ronny are having a dinner party for their friends, Matt and Mindy. In the course of conversation Ronny tells how his clientele has dropped considerably because of the financial crisis. Matt is surprised because, according to him, he cannot cope with the demand. Jessica is taken aback with Ronnie's revelation and with another reality their friends are not having.

Tanya decides to go see Charlie, the black pimp she met in a diner where his "hos" congregate. She tells her counterpart about the problems she has sharing her "ho" with Lenore. He thinks she is a fool and has to make a stand. A confrontation with Lenore comes at an ethnic place where Lenore has taken her dog for the beans in the menu. Tanya follows her rival to the parking lot where she tells Lenore off. What's more, she accuses the other about stealing her Lanvin sweater and replacing it with the cheaper imitation, the Lankin knock off. In a fit of anger Tanya steals Lenore's pet dog.

When Tanya tries to return the dog, she finds Tanya holding another in her arms, a copy of the one that was stolen. Lenore makes it clear where she stands. Ray gets a phone call from Jessica, from the bowling place where she has gone hoping to find him. Ray finds Jess as she is leaving and hugs her tenderly, just as Lenore happens to arrive. An embarrassing situation is avoided with sophistication from Lenore, who suddenly realizes Ray and Jessica were once married.

Another delicious episode in this adult oriented series. The creators, Colette Burson and Dmitry Lipkin, who are also the writers, get an excellent ally in Jennifer Getzinger, a talented director who turns the material in a pleasant time in the company of these characters they seem to know so well. There is not a false note in this frank approach to showing a slice of life in the America of today.

The regulars, Thomas Jane and Jane Adams are the best excuse for tuning in to "Hung". Both actors bring these people to life. They are joined by an amazing supporting cast that does wonders for our enjoyment. Rebecca Creskoff is wonderful as the spiteful Lenore. Anne Heche has never been better as she is with Jessica.

Highly recommended for discriminating fans.

Hilarious Tanya and epic versus, children major development, déjà cult restaurant scene, intriguing cliffhanger but short format of the pink and yellow stripped mamba

Tanya versus Lenore : Round 2. Fight ! In a Fictional Character Deathmatch, instead of a Celebrity one, these two would definitely tear each other apart. Thanks to Jane Adams' hilarious performance it was probably the funniest Hung episode so far. There face off was so well staged that you'll definitely want to watch it again ! The best part is that their mind games are so wicked that you can't help playing with them, trying to guess what their crazy next move will be. I was able to predict one but the others were really unexpected. Am I intrigued ? Hell yes !

Beside their cartoons Ray was also featured, obviously. First the scene with the children I waited so long since the very first time I saw them finally happened. Have you ever been curious about their ugly appearances and weird behaviors ? Well prepare for some major development ! And at the beginning I naively thought that Ray would be the only bone we would have to gnawn ! Did I forget to mention what happened to Lenore's dog ? Of course I did. An other part involved the black pimp Tanya met last time. It was well written and the actor did a very impressive job. Already cult ? I can't wait for their relationship to develop ! As for Jessica her role was more anecdotic but we learned more about her life as a wife and of course her new friendship with Ray was also covered, in a light casting random shadows around it.
