In order to have a plot, the story must GO SOMEWHERE

I am not going to add any spoilers to this, because 1) I couldn't actually make it to the end of the show and 2)After 5 hours of nothing but more and more questions, this show sucks!!! Okay, listen up Hollywood writers!!! If you do not have a concept of pacing, plot, and how to slowly do reveals, go to Netflicks, and watch Battle Star Galatica, or 24, or hell, even Lost!!! After five episodes, explain to me why I should care that about the attempt on the presidents life, the passengers on the plane, the girl that was kidnapped, and your "I'm trying out for the role of Jason Bourne next year!" everyman? If the president does or does not kill the captives, why should I care either way? DO you not realize that you have not given me (the viewer)a reason to tune in? Look,a good thriller of course has mystery, but any good thriller starts to provide answers once the action gets going. and that's whats completely missing. The ADHD-esquire leaps through time do not provide mystery, merely convoluted back story that does nothing to make me care for any of the characters. It doesn't even add to the mystery by providing even a answer that should lead to another question (which would happen in the above named shows all the time). The main problem with this is assuming that we are at least a quarter of the way through the season, and I can' imagine why I should keep watching. With such a all star cast, it should be easy to keep me riveted with their performances, but since everybody only gets about four minutes of screen time, there is not enough script to flesh any of these characters out. Instead, we are left with caricatures from other great shows. The "hero" with the brains to outsmart the random brawn thrown at him (24), the agent highly disbelieving of the clear conspiracy around her, the good president with a conscience (24), the evil chief of staff (which I would find just plain stupid!! come on, your the president of the US and you cant see that your chief of staff is not on the same page as you? and your not going to fire him?1?!)the bad guy with a highly suppressed sense of good (clearly the lady chasing our hero), the damsel in distress (pick any show you want), I could go on. The point is this.. NBC had 5, count of five episodes to draw us in. I rather just watch a re -run of Battlestar.
