Black Pike makes its gorgeous debut
Mr-Fusion30 November 2016
'Save My Love' drags out the pocketed bills plot but expands it to something larger and more dangerous for Winona. That's the beauty of this - a story that felt somewhat forced in the previous episode actually turns into something very tense. It's just one twist after another.

What's also great about this is that it recalls two seemingly one-off characters, which means that Stephen Root and Jere Burns have more permanent roles. And it adds the ravishing Rebecca Creskoff as an oil company executive. It's not just her looks but her fiery dialogue; she shows up and the scene's hers.

It's in the bag!

Warning: Spoilers
This excellent episode has many of the elements of a classic farce. It centers on some misappropriated evidence, a bag of cash, and the improbable circumstances that repeatedly prevent its surreptitious return to where it belongs. Stephen Root is a hoot as the resident Hangin' Judge who generates much of the necessary, random obstacles. In the tradition of a farce, there is actually very little plot other than a nibble from each of this soap opera's subplots. Raylan puts himself at risk for Winona, Gary Hawkins continues his foolish wheeling and dealing and Boyd Crowder is offered a new career opportunity with the big, bad coal company. But so what! This episode is fun. It's in the bag!

Red Swingline Stapler from Office Space!
arjanpt24 March 2011
In this episode you can see the red Swingline from Office Space (1999) that Milton (Stephen Root, also playing the judge in Justified) had "it's my Swingline Stapler" Great ode to the movie Office Space Thanks you creators of Justified! One of the best shows in years! This show brings a new fresh look to crime shows. Timothy Olyphant is exceptional in this show. If you haven't watched any episodes than you have to rent the first season. and than catch up , you will not regret. This episode is very tense and exciting. I don't want to give any spoiler alerts of course. Also Walton Goggins is by far the best character on the show except Timothy. They both complete a great cast and wonderful story line.

Although entertaining...

Warning: Spoilers
...the chain of events exceeds every justifiable "what are the odds?" question.

  • in the previous episode, Winona decides to pocket some money. Seems out of character, but okay. Do we really know her? So: okay.
  • she finds herself in the middle of bank robbery (what are the odds?), which set the whole thing in motion.
  • this episode, after coming clean with Raylan, he wants to help her, but his colleague spoils the efforts, unknowingly (bad luck, I guess)
  • at long last, when Winona tries to return the money, at least FIVE things happen (perfectly timed - by the universe, I guess), that prevent her from doing that. One of them, happening: okay, sure. Two: okay. REALLY bad luck... but FIVE? Including a bomb threat?

It was a good episode - besides that. But that just kept me repeating: Come on....
