Great - Just one thing though...

The incidental guitar and bongos 'music' was SO irritating! If it weren't for that, it would have been 10/10.

Better than expected!

On paper, the story seemed ridiculously simple, but I really wanted to see something with Martti Suosalo, and I was pleasantly surprised! Vanki is far from being a revolutionary mini-series but it was much better than I excepted it would be. A solid 8 for sure, if you ask me.

Realistic depiction of Finnish criminal world

For me as an ex-criminal this series was so refreshing to see compared to other criminal series. It is an extremely realistic depiction how easily a life of an completely innocent person ( Vesa ) can be turned around and taken control of, even to the point that you are told what to do and you have no option to refuse. So overall; realistic series of Finnish and Scandinavian organised crime and life in prison, definitely worth of watching!
