- Sally directly asks George if he's a virgin, and gives the notion that he should have sex. She then asks him for sex, but she claims to be joking. George declines anyway. It is implied, however, that Sally has sex with Dustin. We see her wake up in Dustin's bed (clothed). They also kiss a few times, and plan to tour around Europe together.
- Sally's mother is seen throughout the movie in low cut tops, and often talks about her sexual escapades. She uses a few crude details here and there. In one scene, she slides a hand toward George's crotch jokingly, and George freaks out.
- Sally makes a joke about buying pot from a hooker. Dustin tells George to slam Sally up against a wall and start kissing her to show her his feelings (this is before Dustin dates Sally). A few sexual jokes and lines are made briefly.
- A party features girls in revealing dresses dancing suggestively, Sally included. She and another boy grind close together. George tells Sally that he's allergic to his own hormones. Zoe tells George she could introduce him to "slutty friends."
Violence & Gore

- George has a brief fight with his stepdad. The two grab at each other, and stepdad has a strong hold on George until George backs into a wall, hard, breaking the older man's collar bone.
Profanity

- One f-word and a half-dozen s-words join two or three each of "h" and "bch." Jesus' name is misused a handful of times.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- At a New Year's party, alcohol is served, and George gets drunk. He pukes all over the sidewalk, and later is so groggy that he needs to sleep at Sally's. Sally's mom drinks a lot, and she serves beer to George and Sally. She also gives George a drink spiked with alcohol. Keep in mind; these are high school aged kids.

- The fight with George's stepdad is intense. George consoling his mom is sad.

Sex & Nudity
- Although sex isn't really implied between George and Sally, it certainly comes up as an issue from time to time. George, drunk after a party, stays at Sally's for the night (on a mattress on the floor). He watches her change, we briefly see her bra strap from behind. He also watches her sleep. In the morning, George wakes to find Sally smirking at his (implied) erection, shown briefly as a bump under the covers. There are two kissing scenes between George and Sally. The first is a brief, surprised kiss, and the second shows the two in a dark room, passionately kissing and caressing in a sensual scene(though sex isn't implied).
