There have been some silly episode of "How I Met Your Mother" that I have not enjoyed, but this one is silly, but it's also a lot of fun I really did enjoy the plot of this episode and laughed several times.

Plot In A Paragraph: Ted has just started dating a woman named Royce (Judy Greer). He's waiting to learn what baggage Royce is carrying that will ultimately ruin the relationship. When Ted and Royce go on a date to see a smash hit movie called The Wedding Bride, Ted is upset to discover the movie is written by Tony, the husband of Ted's ex fiancée Stella, who ditched Ted at the alter for Tony. He feels worse when he realises the movie is about his and Stella's relationship and break-up where the Ted character is painted as the bad guy and the Tony character the good guy.

Amusing point... Some of the baggage the people from the street have, 5 gay ex- boyfriends, loves cats more than people, still thinks his ska band will take off, only dates guys in a band. And the best..... Three different women have: "Slept with Barney".

This was a pretty fun idea. Ted's being left at the altar story being turned into a movie by Stella's husband. And of course Ted doesn't seem to be all that nice in it.

It was pretty funny to see how the moments we have seen were transformed to make Ted look like a jerk. Even the two minutes date was turned into something horrible. And a nice selection for who played them in the movie. Tony got himself Jason Lewis.

I just think they didn't make Royce's baggage that bad to make Ted leave her without kind of looking like a jerk. This is something they could have worked on better.

This episode, man...

This episode annoyed the hell out of me. Sure, it was funny compared to the other stuff in season 5 but I hated how despite how much of a jerk Tony is being by making the movie, Ted doesn't do anything about it.

I expected a lawsuit or at least a fight? But there wasn't really any retribution that Tony faced for his action and that was utterly dissatisfying to me.

I don't see how people enjoyed this episode. During this episode all I was waiting for was for Ted to bring a Lawsuit upon Tony but or at least confront him in some way. I totally disagree with the way Ted reacted to the movie and I don't know why he did absolutely nothing about it and it took him to the end of the episode to h. I am hoping in the next episode this issue gets cleared up but it doesn't seem so.

It also has to be mentioned that how can a movie with a storyline and acting like this become the 5th highest grossing movie of all time? I honestly didn't understand that.

It is kinda a coincidence but I this episode was nearly the baggage of How I Met Your Mother for me as I was very close to calling it the last episode that I will ever watch.

How is it possible that I gave this series a ten-star rating on IMDb but this episode only a 3. Which is the lowest I have ever rated anything on this website.

This episode makes me cringe.

One of the worst plot lines of the whole show. Makes zero sense.

Funnier than the last couple of episodes, but suffers from dumb parts like the movie about Ted

This episode is about the baggage that everyone has and that Ted realizes he has too in this episode. Reason for that is that Tony Grafanello, the reason why Ted got left at the altar by Stella a while ago, has made a movie about this story, called "The Wedding Bride". But this movie is entirely different from the events that happened in season 3 and 4 of How I Met Your Mother. In the movie version, Ted - under the name of Jed Moseley - is pictured as the biggest imaginable jerk and Tony is the endearing and good-looking guy. After Ted has seen this movie with his new date Royce (Judy Greer who is obviously appearing in every single sitcom on air currently), he is outraged and unsure how to react to this. Contrary to what I expected, he doesn't confront Stella and Tony about this, but tries to live with this baggage. Surrealistically, this unfunny romantic comedy turns out to be the 5th- highest-grossing movie of all time in the show and Ted is confronted by it everywhere he goes. To the movie: of course they exaggerated everything, but it was totally unfunny. Actually I really hated the scenes of this movie because I didn't remember Tony as such as a jackass as he proves to be with writing this movie. But besides that, this episode delivers some hilarious gags and actually does without any unnecessary sub-plots most of the time.

Neil Patrick Harris does one of the best performances of his lifetime in this episode! He has little screen time, but every time he's awfully funny and made me laugh out loud more than once (especially the final scene in the cinema with him using "kiss" as an euphemism for a way ruder word, supposedly starting with an 'f'). The other cast members have nice moments as well, although the screenplay tries to hard with the characters of Marshall and Robin, in my opinion. Another great idea of the crew was to show the baggage of people by putting a suitcase in their hands on which we have hilarious one-liners, just as "Still likes Oasis", "Pacific Islander fetish" and "Slept with Barney" - 3 times.

But this episode still suffers from the usual issues that this show has developed in seasons 4 and 5. I was often unable to agree with the writers' sort of humor and, as I said, the movie was utterly dumb. Maybe I'm being a little too harsh with it, but when I compared it to all other movies and TV shows existing, I can't possibly give it more than 5/10 points.
