A good try to make a good Slovenian movie
zelezni31 July 2011
So, what's the movie all about? Place is held somewhere in Slovenian mountains, showing young campers. Soon they are not alone, since group of girls starts camping near by. What follows is the first love, tricks youngsters do to their elder leader, etc.

Why does this movie deserve a 5/10 rating? First of all - bad acting. Of course most of the actors are children but I believe they could make it better! Exception is Jure Zrnec, but he is already known for good acting in Slovenia. Another reason for a 5/10 rating is story which is bad developed. I had a feeling that everything is just put together. And because of that at some moments even Zrnec's acting looked weird to me.

Anyway there were some short funny scenes which created smile on my face. "Going our way" is a family movie, where young viewers will enjoy it, but their parents will probably not.

Great movie

It is a great Slovenian movie.

It is best watched movie of all time and you probably need to be from Slovenia to understand it, because most of phrases are funny only to people who know Slovenian stereotypes.

And it deserves more than 5/10.

And about the actors. Jurij Zrnec is one of the best actors in Slovenia, but the young actors, this is their first movie and they did great job.

Now there is also second part of this movie Gremo mi po svoje 2 or Going our way 2, if you want to watch it.

For kids only
mihael-marolt1 January 2012
I tried to like this movie, I really did... But unfortunately the reality is that it's a "made for kids 9 and younger" type of a movie. Everyone else will perhaps have a laugh or two and not much else. The acting is poor (I know they're mostly kids, but still, they could have done better), the script is badly written (story doesn't really evolve), the directing is below average (putting it mildly) and the movie as a whole simply doesn't work. It's kinda sad that the movie was a summer hit in Slovenia.

There are a few positive things in the movie, however. The scenery is very nice and it does contribute to a slightly better feeling about the movie. The acting of Jurij Zrnec is good, but even he gets a bit lost in the glaring shortcomings off other "actors", and there are even a couple of laughs for the adults. Thats it... Nothing more positive to say about "Gremo mi po svoje", unfortunately.

If you are not a pre-teen kid, you will not like it, period!

Must watch classic
roktr13 April 2023
This movie is an essential part of the Slovenian filmographic heritage. It represents one of the most pressing problems that a young teenager will undoubtedly experience in their life, the fear of growing up. It tackles this deeply important message with it's due respect, while nonetheless still remaining true to it's comedic style. Here we cannot go without mentioning the absolutely stunning preformances by both the more experienced actors, and those younger stars for which this movie represents their breakout role. So if you want to watch an absolute classic, that features scenes that will both break your heart and bring tears of laughter to your eyes look no further that this masterpiece.
