Warning: Spoilers
How Mucnched Is That Birdie In The Window ? is a good Simpsons episode but it falls weak compared to the other terrific episodes this season but its still fairly good and its not the season at its worse.

A bird with a broken wing falls into The Simpsons house and when the owner wont take the bird back Bart decides to keep it and nurture it into health. When the day comes when its able to fly again Bart decides to let go,but they but feel that they became too close to say goodbye so Bart keeps him and the bird becomes a kind of email for Bart.

But when Santas Little Helper ends up eating the bird Bart becomes deeply depressed and stops talking to the dog, after advice from a therapist Marge and Homer decide to give the dog away.

Best this season
Beastlybombpst29 November 2010
I haven't been watching the simpsons for that long, but like any self respecting simpsons fan, I say the old episodes (season 1-10) are the best. But the simpsons seems to have started going up after the movie. Nothing will ever top the old ones, but this is the best episode since season 11's alone again naturadiddly. Although this episode won't top season 4s last exit to Springfield or season 5s cape fear, in a list from 1-50, thiswould be number 31. All the others are from seasons 1-11. So although other people may not love this episode, it had a lot great parts, like the ostrich scene. Goodnight. This review has been beastlybombst.

The Music Makes It
santifersan28 February 2023
"How Munched Is That Birdie in the Window?" is an episode of The Simpsons that has its funny moments and an increasing level of intensity in the storyline. However, what truly stands out in this episode is its selection of musical themes for the soundtrack. The musical pieces chosen for the soundtrack are far superior to the episode itself. It's almost as if the music is carrying the weight of the show. If you haven't seen The Simpsons in decades and you happen to catch this episode, you'll find that good music is now far above the quality of the show. In conclusion, while the episode has its entertaining parts, the music steals the show and elevates it beyond what it would otherwise be.

This episode just was SO wrong

Warning: Spoilers
What a terrible episode.

Having been a huge fan of this show since its start in 1989/90 I was actually looking forward to seeing this. Being a bird lover, I felt it would be a good story. Boy was I wrong.

Bad enough they had the dog eat the bird but having Bart strangling the Ostrich was just overkill.

Show just doesn't have it anymore and they have lost a long time fan in me. They could have made the storyline happier, but nope, the script writers are cruel and heartless.

Sorry Simpsons, it was good but it ain't anymore

This episode showcases exactly what's wrong with semi-modern Simpsons

Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe this episode. I almost never wrote reviews but this episode was just so bad that I had to vent and warn other people to skip this episode, might as well skip this whole bad season while you're at it as well.

The first half is very good, but after "the incident" in which Santa's little helper eats Bart's bird, and then Bart strangles an ostrich it's SO MESSED UP. WHY THE HELL WOULD THE WRITERS DO THIS. NOT ONLY IS THE SECOND HALF OF THE EPISODE DEPRESSING, BUT ITS SADDENING, AND IT HAS NO GOOD MORAL MESSAGE, but what else do I expect from a season 22 episode.

Do yourself a favour, to cleanse yourself of this episode put on season 1-9 and you'll be happy you did. As far as I'm concerned, the cleverly written show that I loved died the moment I saw this episode.

If I could vote 0 stars out of 10 I would.
